ZEPHYR

Nobody questioned a cadet volunteering for delivery work. The quartermaster barely glanced at my papers before waving me into the crew, and by mid-morning I had a crate on my shoulder and my collar pulled high enough to shadow half my face, climbing the servants' stairwell with a man named Otto who talked too much and asked too many questions I didn't want to answer.

"You presented yet?" he asked, shifting his crate to his other shoulder, sweat already soaking through his shirt on the second flight.

"You've got that look. All coiled up. Bet you're Alpha, with those shoulders."

"Something like that," I said, and let the lie sit there. The truth would've gotten me killed before I ever reached the palace.

I had only differentiated as an Omega recently. My body was still struggling to adjust, and I couldn't risk anyone discovering what I had become.

"Keep your head down today regardless," he added, dropping his voice.

"King Baikal's been foul all week, ever since the Ivanov negotiations fell through. You can feel it in the air up here if you know what to watch for."

I didn't know what he meant. Then, two floors later, I did.

It hit the stairwell all at once, a pressure pushing down through stone like the whole building was straining under it, and every hair on my arms rose the same second Otto dropped his crate entirely, both hands flying to the back of his own neck.

"Oh, hell," he breathed.

"That's him. Nobody said he was due to rut this early—"

Guards were already shouting above us, boots pounding, doors slamming in a rhythm closer to panic than protocol. Someone screamed lockdown two floors up and it rolled down the stairwell like a struck bell, servants and Betas and unmated Omegas scattering for anything with a lock on it.

Something in me answered before I could stop it, some old unfamiliar instinct buried under Fenna's needle rising up anyway, quiet and traitorous, pulling toward that pressure instead of away from it, and I hated my own body for wanting something it had no right to want.

The reaction made no sense. My suppressants should have dulled whatever I was feeling, yet something about his pheromones reached past them. I didn't understand it, I just wanted to get the shipment and leave this cursed palace before anyone discovered what I was.

"Move, servants' hall, now—" someone hauled at my arm, dragging me into the current of fleeing bodies, and I let myself be pulled because standing still in that stairwell suddenly felt like the most dangerous thing I could do.

They all hastened their steps, like it was an utmost protocol of the palace, but I couldn't just leave without getting what I'd come here for yet, so I wasted no time and steered myself away from them, making sure to fall behind as the shutters welded down.

I ducked, steering into a separate part of the corridor. The red alarms were on full now. I could hear heavy footsteps closing in toward me. I ducked, shoving a door to an empty wing open — I wasn't lost, voices drew closer, alert spread through me, I kicked forward, dashing into what seemed like… a lounge.

I ducked in, beneath the heavy iron shutter, right in time for it to shut completely.

The loud noises went off immediately, the wiring sound and blinking lights going off.

"Complete lockdown protocol activated," a loud mechanical voice called as everything went dim, right on time.

"Well. Well… well… look what the cat dragged in." A cold, commanding, chillingly menacing voice whispered. I turned slowly, my knees almost giving in, but that was when it hit me — the strong, heavy whiff of Alpha pheromones, slamming ruthlessly into me, straight into every inch of my senses.

My knees gave in and I fell against the floor, my entire body trembling. The cheap suppressants weren't doing shit now. His Alpha pheromones were too strong, running over every barrier of suppressant I was on.

He took slow, graceful steps toward me, my gaze following him until he finally stopped before me, his hand slid over his chest — he was barely covered, a sheer, night-material sheet over his hips.

My eyes moved up, my heart slamming fiercely against my chest. His chest was bare, arms folded over them. My eyes ran up to his face, his dazed, mismatched eyes staring down at me. One blue… one green. His silver hair hung behind him, head tilted slightly, a grin splitting his face in half.

"King… Baikal." I stuttered, fear like never before rattling me to my core, his finger dropped to my face, snatching up my jaw.

I tried to pull away, disgust and anger cutting through my fear. I didn't care if he was the King. His title didn't give him the right to treat me like something he owned.

"An Omega… just what I needed," he whispered, running his tongue over his lips, pressing his lips right onto mine.

I stiffened in shock. The moment I could move, I tried to push him away. I hated him for touching me without permission, and I hated my own body's confusing reaction to his pheromones even more. Whatever this instinct was, I would never mistake it for obedience.

  • THE ALPHA BROTHERS' FORBIDDEN OMEGA (Omegaverse)   THE KINGS MARK

ZEPHYRA light yawn eased off my lips as I rolled in bed. My body felt lazy, my muscles relaxed, the rich scent of oils filling my nose. The loud buzz from the cadets' dorm was nowhere to be heard. The noises... were nonexistent.I parted my eyes hastily, jumping to sit in bed. My eyes darted over the vast space. The room, the rich-scented flowers, the vast, tidied room—it looked nothing like the cadets' dorm.It all rushed back, hitting me faster than a freight train. I remembered it all. The kidnapping. I had...My hand darted down my body. I stood right off the bed. I didn't feel anything. My ass wasn't hurting as badly as I'd expected. I hadn't expected to wake up feeling this normal after everything that had happened, but the mark on my neck was another matter entirely. My teeth gritted together as I groaned, trying to understand what was going on.Why had I not been thrown into a cell? I'd been caught. I bet my name had been flagged by now. Why the hell was I in a room, tidied a

  • THE ALPHA BROTHERS' FORBIDDEN OMEGA (Omegaverse)   THE OMEGAS HEAT

BAIKALHis hands slid down to my cock, his wrist wrapped around it, his eyes snapping open, he wanted it too. This was a mistake, it was taking the last shred of control to hold myself together."Shit — now, I'm the sane one?" I asked, trying to pull him off, he squeezed harder, causing my cock to jump, a long pearl of precum drooling from my tip. He stroked me slowly, his lips crashing to mine, his tongue past my lips. His heat was way worse. My cock was aching painfully now, we were both in our respective cycles, and I was running from my own instinct."Baikal… help me." My eyes snapped open even wider. Moments ago, he'd been fighting me like he would rather face death than surrender. Now he was asking me for help, and I could see how much he hated having to do it. His brows drew together, frustration mixing with the confusion on his face.He wasn't suddenly comfortable with me. He was struggling with something he couldn't understand, and he hated that I was seeing him like this.An

  • THE ALPHA BROTHERS' FORBIDDEN OMEGA (Omegaverse)   MY ALPHA'S RUT

BAIKALMy ruts were equal to madness, a sex-starved, lust-crazed madness. It came earlier than it ought to have, but I can't deny my mood had been foul all week. I had no desire to mate… but this once, I felt my hunger sated. Days early. Again. I smashed a glass against the wall when the first wave hit, then nearly thrown a physician out of my chambers for telling me to remain calm. Calm?!. The word alone had nearly earned him a broken jaw. My ruts had grown unpredictable over the years, arriving without warning and leaving destruction in their wake. The physicians had tried everything, but none of them had found an Omega whose pheromones could settle the madness inside me.My tongue glided off his lips as I drank in his taste, my teeth grazing over his lip. He pressed his palms against my chest, but I couldn't stop, my primal instincts pushing harder than they ever had, pressed against him, my tongue catching droplets of blood where I'd bitten him, tasting, sucking. More. I wante

  • THE ALPHA BROTHERS' FORBIDDEN OMEGA (Omegaverse)   OMEGA'S PHEROMONES

ZEPHYRMy eyelids felt too heavy for me to lift. My body ached terribly, my throat dry like I'd munched on sawdust. My sides burned, a surge of Omega scent hitting me continuously. I felt so weak, in more pain than I'd ever felt.I pushed my eyes open, my head a groggy mess as I glanced around, slowly taking in my surroundings — the green-painted walls, the heavy beeping machines. My blurry eyes moved only to realize my hands were cuffed to the bed. My Omega scent clung to my skin, stronger than anything I'd ever experienced, and no matter how shallowly I breathed, I couldn't escape it. I had spent five years pushing my body beyond its limits, enduring injuries that would have kept other cadets in bed for weeks. Yet a single night of differentiation had reduced me to someone who couldn't even sit up without feeling sick.My survival instinct kicked in immediately as I sat up, assessing my situation, when the sound of footsteps echoed through the room, drawing closer to me.My command

  • THE ALPHA BROTHERS' FORBIDDEN OMEGA (Omegaverse)   AN UNHINGED CADET

ZEPHYRMarek tapped twice against the mat, but I didn't stop. The same bloody, murderous rage and utter need to win had me blocking out his pleas as he begged, his cries filling the room while I bent his elbow, his arm twisting into an angle that was already looking wrong."He tapped. That's enough, cadet." Instructor Voss screamed, coming into the space between us, his hands hovering above mine, but he hadn't dared touch me. I'd seen the same look I'd noticed on most of the instructors recently… fear. The training hall was one of the largest buildings on the grounds, built to accommodate hundreds of cadets at once. Its reinforced walls had endured years of combat drills, sparring matches, and the occasional outburst from cadets who hadn't learned to control their tempers. The academy trained fighters for the kingdom's military, and every division had its own rankings. A cadet's position determined everything from training privileges to the assignments they could earn after graduatio
