‎LORENZO'S POV

‎I leaned back in my chair, glancing intently at the portrait of Caitlin on my wall, a glass of whiskey in my hand as I reminisced on the feeling of her soft lips against mine, and the taste of her sweet rosy skin.

‎And there said money couldn't buy everything, but see I bought the perfect wife without breaking a sweat, no love required here.

‎Caitlin is really something else, abandoning me on our wedding night in the pretense of being on her period. Damn! four months, and she still dared to keep me hanging.

‎Caitlin! Caitlin! Caitlin! You really are something else. You constantly make me bend to your will without doing much. You dare to command the great Lorenzo Quavas without saying a word.

‎“Mi Cielo once more you have stolen all of my attention and there will be consequences,” I said to myself, as I made my way to the portrait on the wall, rolling my hand along it's edges. “I will bang you so hard, you wouldn't be able to move for days. I will so ruin sex for you.”

‎I remember the moment, I first laid eyes on her. My heart skipped, and I was supposed to be a staunch womanizer.

‎I can still recall everything from that night.

‎We met at the “Sunglow bar”, where she used to work as a waitress.

‎I was extremely angry that night, cause I found out a handful of my merchandise had been confiscated by the police, but that still didn't stop me from seeing her charm.

‎That night she looked so wild, and dangerous, and I was immediately drawn to her.

‎Back then she still had black hair, which was casually plaited backwards into corn rows, she wore tight black shorts, a long sleeve tortoise neck shirt that fitted her like a glove.

‎She wore black boots and had very minimal makeup on, although her lipstick and eyeshadow was a deep shade of glittering black.

‎Looking back at it now, I would have never imagined that she would be so girly, she came across as the tomboy type at the time.

‎I still remember the way she slapped a huge customer of theirs, cause he touched her ass. The customer had risen in a bit to intimidate her but she stood her ground, daring the jerk to hit her. Most women would have been scared but my Caitlin was different, she wasn't moved by his size. She was fire and I was addicted to the danger.

‎Of course she was fired on the spot. She didn't beg, instead she stood tall, leaving with her head hung high.

‎Plagued by interest, I followed her from a distance, hoping to get an audience but she was too engrossed in her dancing.

‎We got to a dark alley, and another man confronted her, turns out she was a lot of trouble back then.

‎ The two of them had engaged in a deep discussion, which resulted in him kissing her.

‎My blood boiled as I watched him touch her, it was like he was touching my property and I wasn't comfortable with it.

‎I clenched my fist ready to break them up, why? I had no idea, but fortunately before I could react she pushed him away, slapping him sternly across the face and the idiot dared to raise his hand to hit her.

‎That was when I intervened with a punch across his face, “Touch her again, and you're death” I said, and the coward flee.

‎I turned and there she was, her greenish blue eyes were peeled on me, but instead of saying thank you, she said “You shouldn't have done that, what if he hurt you”

‎It wasn't the thank you I was expecting but the worry behind her words brought a smile to my face.

‎“Relax, I'm fine as you can see,” I informed and she casually began striding away.

‎“Where are you going, what if that dude attacks you and tries to have his way with you?" I had asked purely out of concern.

‎Now that I think of it, I have been territorial about her from the start.

‎She burst into a hellacious laugh, and casually said, “Three of that dude doesn't have what it takes to screw me.”

‎The confidence behind that tiny woman made my heart melt, and without thinking I asked, “And how many of me is required for that”

‎I cursed immediately my words fell, that was an extremely wrong way to go about my flirting.

‎“One of you is enough for me," She replied thoughtlessly and I praise. Surely she was going to be all mine for the night.

‎“My car, or my suite, or you prefer a quickie right here?" I asked beaming with excitement, but what she said next made me think differently of her.

‎“No way dude, you have to wife me up first for that." And with that she walked off with a cute smile exposing her beautiful teeth.

‎In that moment I knew she'd be my wife, If not for anything for her beauty. I was going to do whatever it took to make her mine. That was why when her parents came for a loan, I happily offered it to them and in exchange, I asked for her hand in marriage.

‎Thinking about it now, I became obsessed with that version of her. While I like this innocent version of her, it was the dangerous version of her that drew me in.

‎I know she doesn't love me, especially since we aren't mate, but she has no other choice than to make me happy. It's my right.

‎Since she wants three days to prepare for me, I will let her be, but after that there will be no excuses.

‎If she pleases me well enough, I might just let her keep the title of my wife, but if not she and her parents would pay back every cent I have spent on them.

‎But in the meantime, I am going to need a substitute to cure the budge in my pants. I thought to myself pulling out my cell, and dialing Drake, my right hand man.

‎“Yes Alpha,” He answered almost immediately.

‎“I need three ladies for tonight. Tall, beautiful, rosy skin, slim–thick, hourglass figure" I commanded, my tone absolute, “Have me brought to my suite immediately.”

‎“Consider it done Boss" He said, and I hung up.

‎A cold chill ran through my spine and I could hear a voice at the back of my mind, “I want Caitlin, no one else”

‎“Patience Brave. We will get to that in a few days. For now let's take some weight off our waist”

CLEOPATRA'S POV “Touch her and you are dead," A masculine voice echoed from a distance. I turned and there he was... my savoir... my husband... Lorenzo. Except he was standing there, a gigantic frown implanted on his face. “Lorenzo," I called out, rubbing my eyeballs in a bit to be sure that my eyes weren't playing pranks on me. Once the rubbing was done, I glanced back at the spot I first saw him, and there he was... still standing. The frown larger than before. His eyes were blazing red, and he was clenching his fist for some reason. At this point my senses were advising me to run away but the relief of being safe got the better part of me, and without hesitation I ran to him, grabbing him into a tight hug. “Thank goodness you came. I was so scared," I confessed, tightening my hold around his slender neck. He doesn't hold me, nor say a word. That was very uncharacteristic of Lorenzo cause as long as I could remember he had been the one initiating intimate moments. “Good

He turned to me, a confused frown engraved on his face. “Why are you stopping? We haven't reached the top yet."I glanced at him, my blood boiling as I tabled my complaints. “ Is that even a question? We are lost can't you see that?" His lips fell into a small frown but still he managed to maintain his calm demeanor. “We are not lost. We just took a wrong turn that's all," He dared to lie once more but this time I had had enough and would be damned if I let him use me one more. “Really?" I asked and he nodded. “If that is the case, show me the right way then," I demanded, folding my arms over my chest. My eyes peeled on him with suspicion. I have had a feeling that we were lost from the moment we entered the forest without an escort. I had wanted to question him about it but his confidence was

  • THE ALPHA DON'S INCOMPETENT SUBSTITUTE WIFE    BREAKFAST CONFRONTATION

CLEOPATRA'S POV “No..." I yelled, waking up from bed in one swift motion. Sweat breaking from my forehead with reckless abandon. It was all a dream, Caitlin wasn't back, and Lorenzo hadn't chosen her yet. Telling out a deep breathe, I stabilized my breathing before speaking.“Lorenzo??? Babe... Where are you? " I called out to him, my eyes scanning in room in entirety. No answer was heard. He gave me no response. Guess he was still offended about how last night discussion went. In total honesty I couldn't blame him, I too over reacted, I told him to drink the coffee and still went ahead to get angry at him for drinking it.“Lorenzo," I called out once more, slamming open door after door but yet no sign of him. Bet he went down stairs for a cup of coffee. That man was a coffee addict. It was no wonder he was grumpy all the time. Swiftly, I took a bath and rushed downstairs.
