CHAPTER 8 - The Hidden Haven

Alpha Branden rushed to the room of Andreitte. He needs to secure first her safety before he is going out to fight. He called his Gamma.

“Gamma Rolden, you need to bring our guest to our safe house, and you need to return quickly once she is settled in there.”

“Yes, Alpha Branden.”

“Then, follow me Gamma Rolden, we need to reach her room, quickly,” Alpha Branden ordered as walked fast ahead. His loyal Gamma followed him.

As they entered the room of Andreitte, the latter was surprised.

“Why are you in a hurry Alpha Branden?” she asked while furrowing.

“Andreitte, please listen. The Alpha King is coming, their ship is actually near. You need to stay in our safe house. It is just near here. My Gamma will accompany you there. Stay there until I get you. Do you understand?” he said in a brisk manner and Andreitte has no energy at this point to defy his order. She nodded.

“Be safe, Alpha Branden. I will wait for you at the safety house.” 

“Good girl. Now go, hurry up. Gamma Rolden, keep her safe even if you need to risk your life,” Alpha Branden said, to which Gamma Rolden nodded and bowed his head in obedience.

Thereafter, Gamma Rolden assisted Andreitte out of the Alpha’s villa, through its back door. Andreitte noticed that at the back of the villa is sea water already and tied nearby is a speed boat, which she guessed to be owned by Alpha Branden. 

Gamma Rolden got the speed boat and assisted her to jump inside. Once they were inside already, Gamma Rolden sped it off.

“Gamma Rolden, where are we going?” she asked curiously. “Where is the safe house?” she added.

Gamma Rolden gave her a side glance before he spoke. “Did you see that tiny island nearby?”

“Yes.”

“It is not actually an island but a big rock.”

“And?”

“That is not an ordinary big rock. It is a twin big rock with a cave in between. We make the cave like a real room. It has all the needed things. Sometimes, Alpha Branden uses that as his haven to relax,” Gamma Rolden explained after pointing his fingers to that tiny island nearby, which was actually a twin big rock.

Andreitte became curious and became excited to see the hidden haven of Alpha Branden.

Just five minutes and the speed boat is already docked beside the twin big rock. Small, step-on, man-made stairs were made from the bottom of the biggest rock until it reach the middle where you can see now the small opening of the cave. The cave’s view itself has been covered by the other rock that it is not noticeable until you got to get close to it.

Amazed by the hidden haven, Andreitte carefully trailed up the stairs and entered the cave’s entrance. The cave has a door after a few steps, which was opened by Gamma Rolden with a key. As she entered it, Andreitte was in awe. The inside of the cave is bigger than what Andreitte has imagined. It has a classic interior with its floor covered with brown-colored carpet. It has a space where a small couch and coffee table can be seen and then a few steps from there, Andreitte saw the King size bed with a thick bed foam. There was even a small kitchen area with almost complete cooking utensils. The inside of the cave is lighted up with lights made of used bottles and cloth, soaked on kerosene hanging in each corner through a mounted, small circle holder made of recycled cans I guess. Overall the place is livable, relaxing, and comfortable.

“That jar contains the potable water and that small cabinet beside, when you open it, you will see different kinds of cookies, bread and biscuits therein plus beers and other drinks in a can. That small door is the way to the comfort room.” Gamma Rolden said earning the nods of Andreitte.

“Thank you, Gamma Rolden. I will be fine here. I hope there will be no fights that will happen between your group and that of Alpha King Dantes,” she said with guilt. It was because of her that the Alpha King came to most probably attack the Rogue Island.

“You are welcome, Miss Andreitte. Please lock the door and only open it when it is either I or Alpha Branden who is outside calling you or knocking,” Gamma Rolden’s last instruction before he left the cave and returned to the nearby Rogue Island.

While about to dock at the Rogue Island, Alpha King Dantes’ forehead suddenly furrowed.

“Beta Manro, the Zeta she-wolf’s scent is slowly fainting. This is not good. Prepare for me the lifeboat, I will sail around and nearby the island, while you head the group. Waive the white flag as you alight from the ship, so that the Rogue’s Alpha will not attack you. Pretend that I am not around and that you headed this voyage to find the missing newly chosen Alpha’s breeder. I will find her,” Alpha King Dantes said.
