Chapter Nine

Tyler's Pov

I was more than pleased to set my eyes on Ivory again, it was a dream came true for me, for five years I had writhed in pain and held on to a glimmer of hope that someday we'd be reunited again, there were times I had thought of given up and even gave up but Nelson kept me going.

Ivory's appearance made me feel alive once more, how she helped Nelson and also put Hattie in her place makes me happy, she openly declared to Hattie that I belonged to her and I found it enchanting, the problem was her not wanting to be called Ivory, she was no doubt Ivory but prefers being called another name.

It was strange but I cared less, she was with me and that was all that mattered, the kiss we shared at the dance, it was magical and a confirmation that she was indeed Ivory, she tried to hide her jealousy when I danced with another woman but she stepped in at the last moment and called me hers.
