The night was dark and quiet as Elara walked through the forest, her mind still reeling from the moon ceremony. She had never felt so powerful, so connected to the Moon Goddess. And Damon had finally accepted her as his mate.

But as she walked, she heard a rustling in the bushes. She stopped, her senses on high alert. She could feel multiple werewolves nearby, and they were not from the Silver Moon Pack.

Before she could react, three rogue wolves jumped out of the bushes, surrounding her. They were large and muscular, their eyes filled with malice.

"Elara Blackwood," one of them said. "We have been looking for you."

Elara shifted into her wolf form, ready to fight. She was outnumbered, but she was not afraid.

The rogues attacked, their movements aggressive and calculated. Elara fought back, her movements fluid and precise. She dodged their attacks, countering with strikes that sent them flying.

But the rogues were strong, and they were working together. One of them managed to land a blow, scratching her side. Elara yelped in pain, but she did not back down.

She focused on her powers, drawing strength from the moon. She felt the power surge through her, making her stronger and faster. She launched herself at the lead rogue, knocking him to the ground and clamping her jaws around his neck.

The other rogues hesitated, then turned and ran. Elara let the lead rogue go, and he ran after his companions.

Elara shifted back to human form, her side bleeding. She knew she needed to get back to the pack house, but she was weak from the fight.

Just then, Damon appeared, his expression worried. "Elara, what happened?"

"I was attacked by rogues," she said, her voice weak.

Damon's eyes narrowed. "Rogues? In our territory?"

Elara nodded. "They were looking for me."

Damon picked her up and carried her back to the pack house. The healer tended to her wounds, and Damon stayed by her side.

"Who do you think sent them?" he asked.

Elara thought for a moment. "Victoria. She wants to eliminate me so she can marry you."

Damon's jaw tightened. "I will not let that happen."

Elara smiled. "I know."

The next day, Damon called a pack meeting. He announced that Victoria was behind the attack on Elara, and he declared that he would never marry her.

"Elara is my mate," he said. "And I will protect her with my life."

The pack members cheered, their voices raised in support.

Elara felt a surge of pride. Damon was finally standing up for her, finally declaring his love for her.

Later that day, Victoria came to the pack house. She was furious.

"How dare you reject me for that omega?" she said.

Damon's eyes hardened. "Elara is not an omega. She is the Chosen One, and she is my mate."

Victoria laughed. "The Chosen One? That is a fairy tale."

"It is not a fairy tale," Elara said, stepping forward. "The Moon Goddess spoke through me at the moon ceremony."

Victoria's expression shifted from anger to fear. "You are lying."

"I am not," Elara said. "And I will stop you and Viktor from destroying the supernatural world."

Victoria's eyes narrowed. "You think you can stop us? You are just a weak omega."

"I am not weak," Elara said. "And I am not an omega. I am the Chosen One."

With that, Elara unleashed her power, a silver light emanating from her hands. Victoria stumbled back, her eyes wide with fear.

"You are powerful," she said, her voice trembling.

"More powerful than you can imagine," Elara said.

Victoria turned and ran, leaving the pack house.

Damon looked at Elara, his eyes filled with awe. "You are incredible."

Elara smiled. "I could not have done it without you."

Damon pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. "I will never let anyone hurt you again."

Elara buried her face in his chest, feeling the mate bond between them hum with energy. She had waited so long for this moment, for Damon to finally accept her and stand up for her.

But she knew that the danger was far from over. Victoria and Viktor were still out there, and they would stop at nothing to destroy them.

But with Damon by her side, Elara knew she could face anything. She was the Chosen One, and she was ready to fulfill her destiny.
