The next day, Roy reports to work in a lighter note, secretly daydreaming that Bryan would come to him in the lobby to publicly claim him but since he stepped foot into Anderson Inc., he hasn’t set his eyes on the CEO. He refrains from asking on his whereabouts from Kristine or she might read more into what she witnessed yesterday. No matter how much he wants Bryan to show him off, Roy doesn’t want to ruin his life because he remembers that Bryan said he was the Lycan Prince in his werewolf world and was next in line to the throne. Somehow, Roy is aware of how delicate the situation is if Bryan has to desperately hide his sexuality. From his tone, he could guess that coming out as gay in his werewolf world might be a threat to his ascension of the throne. Roy’s eyes widen in shock on seeing Mr. Anderson blatantly flirting with the waitress and a lump forms in his throat. Biting back the rush of tears, Roy stiffens and straightens his back, walking out of the door but before he can take the next step, a hand clasps around his neck, holding him in place. Roy's cheeks redden, wondering how the news got to Mr. Flake, his immediate boss. “Where have you been?” Hailey bolts off the sofa at the sound of the door opening and flies into Roy’s arms, “I was worried sick that something happened to you.” Roy smiles shakily at his family and hugs Hailey tighter, “I’m so sorry for how I treated you after you had baby. It was so insensitive. The bar is loud and hectic, full of horny men out to get trashed. Angelo, A friend they’d made at the bar joins them. He usually hangs out with his boyfriend but today he was alone. Roy wakes up with a ringing in his head in a very quiet place. The light in the room is muted and aside from the pain in his head, he is comfortable and warm, in this bed. For a moment, Roy lays back and takes in the tranquility and serenity, enjoying the strange unfamiliar environment. He has no idea where he is. The bedhead behind him is in the form of a massive claw. The room is large and airy and furnished in gold and beige. His muddled brain struggles through its visual memories to ascertain where he was but comes up with nothing. Who brought him here? How did he get here? Fissured memories of the previous night slowly come back to the surface of his mind. The drinking… God, no, the drinking that led to the phone call, ugh, the phone call, and then the vomiting.
