ErranEven after my father walked out of the hospital room, I kept staring at the door, I kept waiting for him to come back.Maybe he would open the door and tell me he didn't mean what he had said and he would come back and hug me and tell me that everything was going to be okay but the door never opened and my father never came back. I pulled my knees toward my chest and buried my face against them.I didn't understand how what had started as a beautiful day could end up like this, all I wanted was a princess cake. The nurse came into my room a few minutes later, she was a kind woman with soft eyes. I had seen her several times since I woke up, but I couldn't remember her name. She walked toward me slowly “Erran?”I looked at her “Where is my daddy?”Her expression changed “He had to leave, sweetheart.”“When is he coming back?”She hesitated “I'm sure he will come see you soon.”The next morning, when the nurse came into my room, I asked again“Is my daddy here?”She smiled sadly

It was on a Tuesday and It was my birthday, I was turning eight. “Mommy!”I ran down the stairs in my pink pajamas, nearly slipping on the last step because I was too excited to slow down.My mother turned around from the kitchen, a smile immediately spreading across her face.“Good morning, birthday girl.”I threw myself into her arms, “I'm eight!”She laughed as she caught me “Yes, you are princess.”“I'm officially a big girl now.”“Oh, really?”I nodded seriously “Very big.”She kissed my forehead. “Then I suppose I have to start treating you like one.”I giggled, that was my mother, Rose. She always made everything feel safe and happy. That morning, the house smelled like pancakes and strawberries, and there were pink balloons tied to the chairs in the living room. My favorite princess decorations were everywhere. My mother had spent days preparing for my birthda

MaxI closed the door behind me and stood in the hallway for a moment, my hand remained on the handle, I could still hear Erran's voice in my head. How long have you been watching me?She had every right to demand answers and yet, I couldn't give them to her, not yet. There were too many things she didn't understand about my world, and some truths were dangerous even for a human to know.I started walking down the hallway, my expression hardening as I approached the private wing of the mansion. The moment I entered my study, I found Damien waiting for me.My Beta was standing beside the windows, his arms folded across his chest. He turned the moment I entered.“Does she know?”I removed my jacket and dropped it onto the back of the chair.“She knows enough.”Damien's expression didn't change.“No, Alpha. She knows nothing.”I looked at him.“That isn't your concern.”“It becomes my concern when our future Luna is walking around this house believing she's a prisoner.”My jaw tightened “

MaxI carried her through the house without saying another word, she had stopped fighting me not because she had accepted what was happening but because she was in shock.I could feel the tension running through her small body, every muscle rigid against mine. Her breathing was uneven, and her fingers were curled tightly against my jacket.I knew I had frightened her but I also knew there was no way around it.She needed to understand that this was no longer a simple human pregnancy, the child she carried belonged to my bloodline, my heir and whether Erran understood it yet or not, her life had changed the moment that child was conceived.I carried her directly upstairs. The hallway was quiet, the only sounds coming from my footsteps against the polished marble floor and her uneven breathing.I pushed open the door to the room I had prepared for her, It was one of the largest guest suites in the house, I wanted her to be comfortable and have access to whatever she needed and enough spa
