Ryan's POV:

I sat on the bed, staring at Lexi while she knelt next to me with her gaze lowered to her lap. A few days had gone by, and I was waiting patiently for her to be ready to mate with me.

When she called me into her room, I had no idea what she wanted to talk about, but for some reason, I felt very nervous, and I could tell she was too.

"You wanted to talk to me, right?" I asked softly.

She looked up and nodded. "Yes, but for some reason, I feel embarrassed before even saying what I wanted to say," she answered.

"Okay, then will it help if I turn and face the other side? That way, I won't stare at your face when you speak?" I asked.

"Yes, that would really help," she answered as I slowly turned and faced the other side.

"You can now tell me everything you want to say. Also, please don't hold back," I said.
