KIARA'S POV

Ever since becoming a mother, sleep had become something strange. Some nights, I slept peacefully.Other nights, I found myself waking up for no reason at all.

Tonight was one of those nights. The room was dark except for the moonlight spilling through the curtains. Beside me, Kael slept peacefully, one arm around my waist. I smiled softly. He looked so innocent when he slept. Nobody would ever believe that this adorable man was the Alpha everyone feared.

KIARA’S POVI waited until the twins were asleep before I told him.Kael was sitting on the edge of the bed, loosening his shirt sleeves like he was finally allowing himself to breathe after a long day. I stood by the door for a moment, just watching him.He looked up immediately.“Kiara.”That one word already told me he knew something was coming.I walked in slowly and sat beside him.“Celeste spoke to me again.”His jaw tightened, but he didn’t interrupt.I took a breath.“She told me she’s drawn the line.”That got his full attention.Kael turned toward me completely.“What line?”I swallowed.“She said she won’t rest until she takes you back.”Silence.The air in the room changed instantly.Kael didn’t speak for a few seconds, just stared at me like he was trying to decide if he heard me correctly. Then he exhaled sharply through his nose.“That woman has completely lost it.”I gave a small, uneasy smile.“It wasn’t anger when she said it. It was… conviction.”That made his expres

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 37: I'M DRAWING THE LINE

KIARA'S POVI was honestly starting to think Celeste had lost her mind. Not because she loved Kael.Love made people do strange things. No, what concerned me was the fact that she refused to let go.And the more she refused to let go, the less threatened I felt.Because I knew my mate.I knew the father of my children. And above all…I knew the man who cried when one of our sons sneezed. The man who brought me breakfast every morning. The man who kissed me goodnight every single night. The man who had rejected Celeste without hesitation. No amount of jealousy could change that.Which was why, when I found Celeste waiting for me outside the garden that afternoon, I wasn't afraid.I was mostly annoyed."Celeste."She turned around. And immediately, I noticed something different. Her eyes. There was something unsettling in them. Not sadness…..Not heartbreak…..Determination."Kiara."I smiled politely."Can I help you?"Her expression hardened."No."She took a step toward me."But you can help your

KIARA'S POVEver since becoming a mother, sleep had become something strange. Some nights, I slept peacefully.Other nights, I found myself waking up for no reason at all.Tonight was one of those nights. The room was dark except for the moonlight spilling through the curtains. Beside me, Kael slept peacefully, one arm around my waist. I smiled softly. He looked so innocent when he slept. Nobody would ever believe that this adorable man was the Alpha everyone feared. One of the twins stirred in the nursery, and immediately Kael sat upright.I blinked."What?"Half asleep, he looked around wildly."Baby."I almost laughed."Go back to sleep.""The boys.""They're fine."He blinked several times before collapsing back onto the pillow."My sons."I couldn't help laughing. The man was hopeless. After making sure the twins were still asleep through the baby monitor, I carefully climbed out of bed.I wasn't tired anymore.Maybe some fresh air would help.Quietly, I walked downstairs and stepped ou

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 35: AN UNEXPECTED ALLY

CHLOE'S POVSomething was wrong.I could feel it.For days, a strange uneasiness had settled inside me, refusing to leave. Ever since the night Kiara had caught me in the nursery, I'd been walking on eggshells. Kael watched me more carefully. Kiara still loved me, but I could see the questions in her eyes.Questions I couldn't answer. Not yet.Maybe not ever.I stood alone in the garden that evening, staring at the moon above, wondering how much longer I could carry these secrets."Beautiful night, isn't it?"My entire body stiffened.I turned….Celeste.She smiled sweetly…..Too sweetly.I forced a smile."Can I help you?""Oh, I think you can."Something about the way she said it made my wolf instincts scream.I frowned."What do you want?"She walked closer."I know."My heart stopped."What?"She laughed softly."I know all about you, Chloe."Cold fear spread through me."What are you talking about?""You know exactly what I'm talking about."Her eyes darkened."The lies….The secrets.""T

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 34:MINE ALONE

KIARA’S POVCeleste’s words stayed with me long after she walked away.Something about the smile she’d given me.Something about the warning. It bothered me.But more than that, it hurt.Because despite everything, I had genuinely liked her.I didn’t want enemies…..I didn’t want jealousy.I just wanted peace. And lately, peace felt impossible.By the time evening arrived, my head was pounding from thinking too much.Thankfully, the twins had finally fallen asleep after Kael spent nearly twenty minutes singing terribly off-key to them.I stood outside the nursery, smiling to myself. She drew a line between me and her from that evening and I had to prove to her that kael was mine and mine alone.I stepped into Kael’s crib and found Celeste in there talking with Kael I didn’t hear their conversation but I know she was definitely telling him to leave.I walked to him and kissed him and he kissed me back.I saw how Celeste’s eyes went directly on me with anger and jealousy.Kael knew the reason

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 33: YOU DON'T BELONG HERE

KIARA'S POVI didn't know what to think anymore.Ever since that night in the nursery, things had become strange between Chloe and me. Not distant, never distant, but strange. Questions lingered between us, questions neither of us seemed ready to answer.Still, despite everything, I couldn't bring myself to hate her.I couldn't.Not after everything we'd been through together. Not after the last four months. Not after she had sat beside my bed while I was unconscious. Not after she'd cried when my sons were born. Not after she had become family. That afternoon, I found her standing alone in the garden. She looked exhausted. When she noticed me approaching, she immediately stood up."Kiara."I smiled softly."Can we talk?"Pain flashed in her eyes."After everything… you still want to talk to me?"I sat beside her."Chloe."Her eyes began to fill with tears."I scared you.""You did.""I disappointed you."I nodded."You did."She lowered her head."I'm sorry."Silence followed. Then I laughe

KIARA'S POVI sat quietly on the edge of the bed, my fingers absentmindedly tracing circles over my stomach as the twins moved beneath my hand.
