TESSA’S POV

“ I overheard her and Drake talking about it the day I had that accident. She wanted to threaten Drake because he said he’ll expose her….. “ I said and trailed off mid-sentence when the next thing we heard was a female voice screaming.

It was coming from the direction where the maid, Agent Maynard, and the policemen went.

We all went there and saw the maid standing with her hands covering her mouth as she looked into the room with a horrified look on her face. Agent eyes were widened in surprise too.

When we got there and I looked inside the room I saw my mother-in-law lying down in her pool of blood. There was a knife covered with blood beside her.

I gasped at the sight in front of us. She was stabbed to death. Could it be that she committed suicide? Or someone killed her. How come no one knew about it until now?
