“What did you do, uncle?” Debora asked the doctor in fear when she saw that Jade was weak.

“Don’t worry, I just put her to sleep to keep her quiet. Put her in the wheelchair, and if anyone asks, tell her she just passed out.”

Debora nervously helped her mother sit Jade in a wheelchair. Her sister seems to be conscious but unable to move or speak. She was nervous not because of her sister’s condition but for them. Seeing earlier how Tristan protected Jade made her worried.

“It’s a good thing she’s alone. Maybe your father will be awake before she regains her strength,” said Liza while fixing her messy hair.

“Mom, what if Tristan comes in?” Debora asked, still nervous.

“She has no right to interfere in our family’s personal life, and I will take care of him.”

Debora blew air out of her mouth before fixing her sister’s hair, which was messed up because of what she and her mother had done.
