LOGINHazel's POV
My head was hurting like a sledgehammer had landed on it. My body felt like it had been run over by a truck. I woke up to the cold, hard tiles under me, and a sharp groan of pain left my lips. Memories of how Lisa almost killed me flashed through my head and I realized I had somehow survived.
Thank you, moon goddess.
As much as I hated my life, I didn't want to die yet.
“Look, the slut is finally awake.”
“For a weakling, she wasn't supposed to survive this one. The back of her dress is literally soaked with blood.”
“She's so daring. Flirting with Alpha Brian? I could never try that in my wildest dreams.”
“She's always loved to bite more than she can chew. I wished Melissa had just killed her there instead of just slamming her head against the wall.”
Their bitter words surrounded me, and I finally opened my eyes to see that I was back at the maids’ quarters. The maids were staring at me with contempt and disgust, and I wished the ground would open up and swallow me whole.
I managed to push myself off the ground, wobbling as soon as I stood on my feet and I could see them staring at me like I was a pest to be gotten rid of.
“You're so stupid, you should have just died. Lisa would make sure she makes your life a living hell after that crazy stunt you pulled.” One of them said to me with a scowl, and if I wasn't feeling dizzy, I would have sworn I saw jealousy in her eyes.
“I didn't do anything…” I muttered but another one scoffed and poked my forehead mockingly, sending a harsher ache through my head.
“You seduced that Alpha and you did nothing?”
“He was the one who approached me!” I argued weakly and laughter surrounded me. “You can laugh all you want. But I know you're all mad that you weren't the one who got approached by the alpha, but me. You're just jealous.”
Their faces twisted into scowls and frowns as one of them moved, pushing me to the ground. A new wave of pain coursed through me as I landed on my butt and I cried out in pain.
“Jealous of a fucked up useless slut like you? In your fucking dreams, idiot. You're wolfless and of no use to the pack, so why should we be jealous of you? How stupid.” She spat as she stormed out, and others followed behind her like minions.
I didn't want to cry but the pain that coursed through me made it really hard. I dragged my knees to my chest, ignoring the pain as I cried into my hands, frustration and anger bubbling through me. It wasn't my fault I was wolfless. It wasn't my fault that Alpha Brian approached me. It wasn't my fault that I was sold off as a slave.
Why the fuck was I suffering for existing?
I dragged myself to my hard, cold bed and curled into a ball as I cried myself to sleep. As my eyes closed, I wished for the moon goddess to at least bless me with a mate. Someone who would protect me and take me away from here. Someone who would love me as I was and save me from my sufferings.

Days passed since that incident and my wounds healed faster than normal. I ignored it, however, making sure I didn't cross paths with Melissa again, no matter what. I never set my eyes on Brian since that day either, and I knew it was because he was busy with the race that occurred between our pack and the nearest wolf pack, Moonmist pack.
I always wanted to know what it would be like to be a female biker but I knew it was impossible. Only alphas were allowed to be bikers. A mere wolfless omega like me would be killed before I even made it there.
“Announcement!” A maid rushed into the quarters with an excited expression, and I lay on my bed with my ears perked, because it was still so early in the morning.
“What is it? You're disturbing my sleep!” The head of the maids spoke, and I held my breath so that I wouldn't miss what they said.
“Mistveil won the bike tournament and there'll be a party tonight! We have to start the preparations now!” She announced and my eyes widened in surprise. It was no shock that our pack always won every bike tournament, Alpha Oscar was known to be the best biker to ever exist.
It was sad that Brian didn't inherit his father's biking skills and if he ever represented our pack, we would fail woefully. It was a shame.
“I heard so many alphas would show up. This might be our chance to snag an alpha and get out of the hellhole.” Someone said in excitement and I let out a sigh. Lucky them.
No alpha would want someone like me.
“Let's get to work!” The chief maid ordered and everyone got out of bed, including me. I couldn't risk getting on their nerves today or they would beat the living daylight out of me.
The day went by in a flash. Decorations adorned the large sitting room, and maids busied themselves in the kitchen. I was in charge of serving drinks and the food, and I just knew nothing good was gonna come out for me tonight. Just like they had said, different alphas from different packs were already making their way in and I couldn't help but notice how powerful and handsome they were.
If only… if only one of them could be my mate. Moon goddess, please, just one is all I ask of you.
My heart nearly stopped when I saw Brian walk in with Melissa wrapped around him and my heart clenched in my chest. I couldn't deny that I didn't want him, especially after that encounter with him. But Gwen… she would end me.
I turned to return to the kitchen when I bumped into someone and I froze. My eyes raised to meet the figure's eyes and when I realized who it was, a scared sound escaped my lips. He was so handsome, even more than his son, but he looked so cold and scary.
Alpha Oscar.
“Watch where you're going… Pink.” He muttered, his brows knitting when he glanced at my pink dress and I immediately stumbled backward.
“I'm sorry, my Alpha!” I bowed in apology and disappeared from his sight before he could end my life. My hands were trembling and my heart was pounding harshly. He had called me by the color of my dress and I almost found it amusing.
“Get the drinks out there!” I heard the chief maid say as she shoved me forward and I sucked in a sharp breath. With my shaky hands, I took the large tray and walked to the large sitting room where alphas laughed and drank with each other.
I suddenly felt something crawl inside me uncomfortably but I ignored it. Maybe I was just nervous being around so many people. It happened again and again until I couldn't ignore it. And that was when I felt it.
A pull. A harsh tug at my heart, almost like a string was pulling me to something… or someone. I turned sharply, my eyes looking around and then I felt his eyes on me. He was staring at me too. Intensely.
Before I could move, the word echoed loudly in my head and I stiffened in shock.
“Mate!”
AlaricMaddox and I reacted instantly, as we prepared for the onslaught. The assassins were silent, their movements swift and deadly as they closed in.I jumped down from the horse, fighting off the assassins. In the chaos which might not end anytime soon, one of the assassins broke through our defenses, a dagger flashing towards me. Maddox took the blow, shoving the assassin away as he grunted in pain.I killed the man with a swift stroke and pinned their leader to the ground.I snarled at him, pressing his chest hard with my boot on him and others on the ground."Who sent you?" I demanded. He gagged but then snickered, not minding the blood that now dripped from his mouth."Someone who knows you're a king without an army, Alaric. Someone who told us you'd be alone...and vulnerable."Maddox's eyes met mine, and I knew he understood. Someone had betrayed us. Someone close. The assassins pressed their attack, but we fought them back, taking them down one by one until we were left with
Oscar's POV Hazel's state seemed to grow worse. It was no longer her mood that disturbed her. She needed medical attention now. I hurried, picking up my phone. I tapped on the doctor's contact immediately. "Come and see Hazel in bed again. She needs your treatment now! I mean, right now! " "Right away, Alpha!" The doctor's voice was restive, but it was truly submissive at the same time. I realized Hazel's dress was pink today as always, except for the brown apron she often put on with it. I smelt an aura of the past, but I could not remember whatever it was whispering to me.My wolf stuttered, "Alpha, like you, needs to be more careful. Don't you remember this good girl? Well, I hope you know she must not die." "This is Hazel, a maid." I pouted my lips and shrugged. "So how could she be so important?" "Then why did you decide to wait behind to check up on her and even sleep with her?" That was the last whisper. It all came from my wolf, but it felt like someone else speaking t
AnelisaI froze and then slowly turned to look at him. He let out a sided smile with those sparkling eyes and gods please he shouldn't look at me in that manner because he's like a temptation."And I like my job. I hope I don't get sacked from watching an angel like you"Is it me or every word that comes out of this man's mouth makes my heart fluster.I was uncomfortable with that but brush it aside with a smile."That's absurd though""Did I offend you with that? I'm sorry..."And he apologizes every time for little things that doesn't matter."No, no"At least someone has my time and attention.I moved my eyes to the book I had grabbed to read but I was literally stealing peeks of him as he hadn't moved those eyes away from me."How do you like the book you're reading" he asked in that gentle tone and I lowered the book."It's captivating in a way I just can't look away" I responded even though I doubted if I even read a line."Me or the book?"Flirt."What else am I looking at if n
AnelisaI was floating now, weightless and free as I felt a gentle rocking motion, like I was being cuddled in someone's arms. How long have I been out? I really don't know as it's not adding up yet.I tried to open my eyes, but they felt heavy, like they were stuck. As I struggled to surface...I caught a glimpse.A glimpse of alaric's face swam into view. His eyes were open and he was looking at me relieved and concern. I felt a surge of joy because he was awake but it was fleeting, I can't trust my drowsy eyes either but then...I was in his eyes.My gaze drifted, and I saw Dirna standing in the corner, her face frozen in shock. Her eyes were wide, her mouth hanging open. She looked... scared.Alaric's arms tightened around me, and I felt myself being lifted, carried away from the chaos. I tried to focus, to make sense of what was happening, but my mind was slipping away. The last thing I saw was Alaric's face, his eyes burning with intensity. He was saying something, but I could
AlaricPerhaps, I should have let her go...somewhere safer than being stucked with me.I paced the length of my chambers, my mind held the weight of my responsibilities. As the future king, I had to protect my kingdom at all costs. But there's a monster inside me, a beast that clawed at my soul, begging to be unleashed. I'd hurt those I loved, without meaning to, without control. The fear of losing Anelisa, was a constant ache in my chest. That's why I'd locked her up, why I'd kept her safe from prying eyes and harm's way. My brother, Arden, had warned me of the dangers that lurked in the dark, waiting to strike.I didn't want the worst to happen...to be sincere and that's why I listened.Arden was someone that I cut off but then, I found myself running to him, in his hideout just to find a solution. He'd told me of a threat that sought to claim her soul, and I'd believed him. I'd do anything to keep her safe. But the guilt ate at me, and my conscious keeps disturbing.I'd become a
AlaricReadying myself for a conflict that needed my attention, I charged through the gates of the East border.Maddox was right behind me and while we flew with our dragons closer to the east, I could smell the acant of smoke and sweat, the metallic tang of blood lingering in the air."Reports indicate a rebel force has been gathering here," Maddox roared as he was beside me now. "They're said to be armed and dangerous."I only took a quick glance at him as my eyes scanned the horizon. Of course, we've been tracking this group for weeks through cautious following whispers of discontent and rebellion.Orchestrated by Arden, no doubt as a means to tell me he could still take control of a part of the kingdom since I had accidentally broke him out of his exile.Curiosity indeed kills a cat. I should have told Maddox before carrying out any action. As we crased our dragon down the ridge, I saw them. A motley crew of men, armed and shouting, waving banners and flags. I felt a growl buildi
