LOGINHazel's POV
“Mate!”
I heard my wolf's voice for the first time in my life and I just found out who my mate was. Alpha Brian. He was actually my mate. I knew he felt the bond, too, because his intense gaze never left me as he approached me slowly.
The whole room was silent, hushed whispers echoing here and there. I could barely see anyone else, my entire gaze was on the man I had spent most of my years adoring.
Moon goddess, what good karma did I do to get this kind of blessing? I always thought I was wolfless, but my wolf finally awakened after so long, and my mate was the almighty Alpha Brian. How lucky was I?
“You're my mate, huh?” Brian's voice came as a calm murmur and my knees buckled when he circled me like a predator watching its prey.
“That's impossible! How can you be her mate? What sort of sorcery is this?” Lisa shrieked in horror but I didn't care about her anymore. Brian was mine. All mine.
I was beyond elated that I could fly through the roof right now. The maids shot me scornful looks filled with bitterness and jealousy but none of that mattered. I would literally be untouchable with Brian.
“I'm sure there's some kind of mistake, Brian. This useless witch can't be your mate! She doesn't even have a wolf.” Lisa added, her face red with anger and courage suddenly filled my bones as I turned to her.
“If I didn't have a wolf, how would I find my mate? And I'm not a witch, I'm a werewolf just like you.” I retorted as my heart pounded in my chest. She could have me killed for this but I've had enough.
“You—” She stormed towards me but Brian held his hand up, stopping her.
“Enough.” He said plainly and a small smile blossomed on my face. He protected me. “There's no sorcery here. Hazel is my mate and the mate bond isn't forged. There's nothing you can do about it, Lisa.” he added as he turned to me and my hopes skyrocketed.
My happiness knew no bounds.
“So what? Are you just gonna take an omega slave as your mate? What about me? You promised to marry me!” Lisa cried out, glaring daggers at me and Brian finally turned to stare at her.
“You're overreacting, Lisa.”
“Overreacting? You're gonna abandon me for her!”
“And who said that?” Brian asked with raised brows and for a second, I froze. My smile wiped off immediately as I struggled to comprehend the meaning behind his words.
“W-what?” I managed to stutter and that seemed to get his attention as he turned back to me with a smirk on his lips. His hands reached out to grab my chin gently as he tilted my head to meet his eyes.
“You're my mate, yes. But who said I was going to accept you? You want me to mark a filthy rag like you?” He asked calmly and my heart literally stopped working. The world around me spun, and my ears rang harshly.
Snickers and mocking laughter echoed around me as Lisa stared at me with contempt. The maids were no different, whispering about how stupid I was to believe Brian would accept me.
“I'm your mate.” I started, my voice cracking. “The moon goddess joined us together. You should accept me.” My voice was barely above a whisper as I spoke and his grip on my chin suddenly tightened.
“Fuck the moon goddess. She must have been blind to mate me to filth like you. You're so ahead of yourself, aren't you?” he spat in annoyance as he finally let go of my chin like it was disgusting and I stumbled backward.
Everyone was staring at me. Some with pity, others with amusement, most with contempt and mockery. How could I have been so stupid to believe I had finally met good luck?
I watched as Lisa walked up to Brian and he kissed her deeply, sending waves of pain through me. My wolf howled in betrayal inside of me and even though I couldn't feel her fully yet, I knew she was in pain. Just like I was. But I couldn't cry. I wouldn't cry. Not in front of them. I wouldn't prove that I was weak.
Lisa suddenly walked up to me and smacked me hard, sending my face to the side as she grabbed my chin.
“You were so full of yourself earlier. What did you say again? ‘I'm not a witch, I'm a werewolf like you’.” She mimicked me and tightened her grip on my chin. “Don't you ever compare your useless, filthy self to me again, or I will fucking kill you!” She yelled as she pushed me and I stumbled backward.
Before I could fall, I crashed into something solid, and I felt strong hands grab my shoulder from behind to stop me from falling. My head turned sharply, and I froze when I saw Alpha Oscar behind me, an unreadable expression on his face.
“This was supposed to be a party, not a bullying show. Have you no sense of respect or shame?” His voice sent shivers down my spine, and he didn't let go of my shoulder, almost like he was supporting me.
“Father—”
“I don't care what you do, Brian. But there are guests. Have some common sense.” He spat in annoyance and finally let go of me before walking away. He didn't even spare me another glance when he walked away but I could still feel his grip on my shoulders.
I turned to walk away when Brian stopped me with his words.
“I, Brian Vesper, reject you, Hazel, as my mate. You're of no use to me.” He declared before storming away and Lisa followed behind him immediately.
It became hard to breathe, almost like all the oxygen in my lungs had disappeared, and pain seared through me like lightning. I had been rejected by the one I thought would save me. I forced my legs to move, away from the humiliation and away from eyes that mocked me. I couldn't hide though. I had to work.
So I worked. I served drinks like I was a robot without emotions. Alphas stared at me with pity but I didn't acknowledge them. I didn't need their pitiful looks. Lisa thought he had broken me but he was wrong. I was used to being abandoned so this was nothing new.
The party finally ended and without thinking, I gulped down a glass, far away from the maids and their snarky remarks. It burned my throat weirdly, but I wasn't about to give up, so I downed another. And another until I could barely see clearly. I needed to forget the pain I had just experienced, and even though I had never drunk before, I didn't care about the consequences.
I stumbled out of my hiding place with the empty bottle of whiskey in my hand and trudged back to the mansion. I could barely see or hear anything, all I could think of was how high I felt. I should have started drinking more before now.
I recognized the hall and stumbled down, mumbling incoherent words to myself. I laughed when nothing was funny and staggered forward like a drunkard. I had just made a turn when I bumped into someone and when I looked up at him, my heart soared.
“Oscar,” I muttered with a grin and crashed into his arms.
Amelia's POV.When we got back to the penthouse, Mateo was already at the door.He must have been waiting. The moment the car pulled up, he was there, his eyes locked on me through the window. The door opened and he was already reaching for me.His eyes scanned my body first, then my face, my arms, my stomach. He didn't say anything until he had looked at every part of me."I'm fine," I said before he could ask.His jaw tightened, but he nodded. He pulled me inside, his hand firm on my arm, guiding me through the entrance.Vale was standing in the hallway with a pale face. She stepped aside as we passed.Mateo turned to Marcus, who had followed us in. The two of them moved away, speaking low and fast. I stayed where I was, my hands still trembling slightly, my body still processing what had just happened.I caught pieces of their conversation."The route was shared internally," Marcus said, his voice tight. "Only a handful of people knew it."Mateo's expression darkened."Who?" he ask
Thallyne's POV “I wonder what led to that speculation.” Luther had a puzzled look on his face but I wasn't going to tell any of them the reason, at least not yet. “I hope you haven't been poisoned once again?” Lucas flicked my forehead playfully. “Ouch, what was that for? No one has done anything crazy since the last time we met.” I rubbed the spot that soon felt really sore. “That's good to know. Since we are not gonna be planning an abduction, I think it's best we return before our absence is discovered since we are like celebrities around here already.” Lucas swore softly under his breath, he was scowling really hard. “It's not that bad,” I shrugged. “Being surrounded by beautiful women, and you and having your pick.” “Whatever, they are not our type. The last thing we need is a new set of Betty in our lives.” “Betty? Who's she?” The name sounded very familiar but I couldn't recall where I must have heard it from. “The psycho that is obsessed with the both of us. It took
[Rosie's POV]I hadn't come out, but being locked in my room after my arrival, I recalled that knock that came in.I should have taken it seriously but I guess I was too busy planning a way to see my kids.Lying on the bed and facing the ceiling, my hands hold up the letter that was left with that knock.I recall that I didn't find anyone at the door, but just a letter that was left for me by my door. Now, my life was dwindling into it, as it's the first thing I found on my bed after Damien dropped me here."I know your secret" it reads."You can hide him, but not for too long," it continues, and then, after much contemplation, I smack my mouth.I guess the person is confused because there are two "him" in the picture. My two boys and not just one?I tossed the letter aside, uninterested in what it meant as I just wanted to be with my boys.I haven't seen Damien either, I guess it's well, I don't know but he's mea
Harry's POVTheir sober look only proves that she's gone. That feeling of her abandoning them again.Aria heaves from where she stood handing the boys over to me like they're my responsibility. They ran towards me, cowering themselves around me and I swallowed.I rubbed their hair smoothly while my gaze drifted back to Aria, who stood poised on her door frame, like one who needed an explanation."Hey boys, go sit in the car," I whispered, handing over the key to Chris, who pulled Colton from his embrace and dragged him mildly to the car.Aria was still there, in that position with a frown on her face and my feet drew closer."Did she tell you where she's off to?""Her lover came picking her up," she replied, looking quite tired.I sighed, taking out a card from my pocket and shoving it into her face. That will settle it, for the boys must have put her through. Her face was still twisted as she snatched it away from me and flipped it left and right."I forgive you," she said, now weari
[Harry's POV]I said nothing as her smile only radiates and leaves me jinxed. I'd want to hold her, if she'd let me.I almost pulled her for an embrace but this happy night would fade away soon if she knew who I was."So how are you doing today, boy?" She asked in a flirty tone, dumping the teddy bears in my hand."Well, happier than ever, now that you're here" I replied, hugging the bears and she pats my shoulder softly."Do you mind me asking how you got out?" I said in a brief smile as my eyes grazed her."Well, let's say I teleported," she said casually, forcing a laugh from me."I want to have that super power of yours"Saying that might seem flirtatious but I meant it in every way.She chuckled and then shook her head before attending to the boys who were leaping all over her."Oh look at you guys" she teases them, grabbing their wrists and flailing their hands. She was walking ahead of me now, with them as they were discussing, while I steadied my steps. My eyes roamed all over
AnelisaHe'd compensate them, mostly those that had their house burnt due to the attack and from the little I got to pick from the speech he made, he promised to make the land safe again.According to him, he and his queen would find a solution to tame the beasts. They cheered him but then he told them not to because they were all mourning today.A chant for victory is all he'd want to hear when he returns.I left there back to the palace, so sober and broken because I didn't for once though of the people that were affected by the attack. But then...what if rhyker was pretending? Of course, he would be just so the people would love him.It was noon already and the knock on my door had me jumping and running to answer it.Usually, I allow him to knock several times but just a knock had me running to him.He flinched, surprised and then cleared his throat. My eyes roamed around his face, his eyes were still re
HAZEL'S POV ‘Why would he suddenly ask me about Lucas and Luther?’ This question replayed in my mind as I slowly snuck out of the pack house. I was glad that I no longer smelled like Oscar, I didn't want to become the target of the pack. As I snuck around the pack house into the main roads, I reali
HAZEL'S POVI did not wait to see Beta Jeff’s reaction but I was so sure that it wasn't anything, I made my way down the stairs to the second floor, sniffing myself a few times before ensuring that nothing about me gave off the fact that I had been messing around with the alpha. Sylvia was waiting
Hazel's Pov “Even though he is protecting us, it's well known that he killed his mate and that is the reason why we don't have a Luna. He is mentally unstable, who knows, one day he might get deranged-” A loud slap resounded in the room, I looked up to see Sylvia seething in rage while the unknown
OSCAR'S POV I couldn’t see her face because I was drinking up every last drop of her sweetness. She cummed so hard that I had to pull my finger out, but kept my mouth there until she’s spent, taking everything I could from her. I finally released my grip on her to see that we were both a mess.
