Chapter 10 Meeting

The room was in a mess. Walking stiffly into the room she discovered the room had been broken into and all her things were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry meaning someone had easy access to the room. Trembling Vanessa ran down to the reception after locking the door. She reported the incident to the receptionist and asked to see the hotel manager. Mr Orton the hotel manager was initially sympathetic and helpful but eventually became defensive.

The hotel offered no apology or refund and was extremely unhelpful with the police. When the police wanted to check the security cameras none of the staff knew how to work the recorder. They finally got a specialist in and they found out that the camera hadn't even been recording. Vanessa felt so violated knowing that someone had just walked into her room, rifled through her things and walked right on out.
