Chapter 9 Las Vegas

As the taxi drove Vanessa into the famous town of Las Vegas she didn't imagine she was about to enter a twenty-four-hour party. But that's exactly what she was about to experience. As she crossed the dry Nevada desert and topped the last bare hill, she couldn't believe the sight that was right before her very eyes. Everywhere she looked she saw flashing fluorescent lights, buildings that seemed to touch the sky, people walking the entire length of the Vegas strip, taxis and buses speeding and so much more. The driver pulled up at the hotel north of the strip in Las Vegas.

"Here we are." the driver said.

Vanessa stared in disbelief at the hotel that was rusting and paint peeled. It looked so different from what she had seen online. Two days ago she had looked up hotels where teenagers could book reservations without parental consent and had found this one. Their photos online were very attractive.
