{Amelia POV} 

" I just can't still believe he did this to me! ".

I leaned back and grabbed my hand over my knee

I wept so hard that I could hardly hear my own voice. I can't believe this was the six time I fell for a loser like Adrian. 

My best friend Layla stood next to me at the edge of the chair trying to console me but the shit ain't working. 

" baby girl! its not the end of the world, good men will come, better ones"

she said 

I haven't told her the main reason why am crying so badly, he didn't just cheat on me, he stole from me and fled town. After I caught him for the second time with that slut, we had a big argument and I quickly decided to end thing.

If only I had not walked out of our apartment after our fight, only to return to find my apartment cleared out, every single thing I own, taken away, he left me with an empty loft.

He even cleared our joint bank account.

This shit is so fucked up, I felt like one from a stupid movie. I thought he was the one but once again I made the wrong choice.

" Come on babe,

chill here for a while" her eyes flashed back sympathy that I really don't need now. 

I just needed a drink, something strong maybe I could forget for a while that I'm a stupid bitch with no money and an empty apartment.

"Let's go to a club. " I said

It got me weird looks from Layla who obviously was not ready to have fun tonight. 

She placed her hands on my shoulder as she cuddled me to her embraces.

   " Hey, I know this is quite crazy but you got to kill this feeling, going to the club would definitely do the charm but you got to be careful...and responsible"

" Yes ma'am"

I said sadly since she had just made her intention of not going clear. 

I grab the first shiny thing, I found in her closet, put it on with no make-up done.

Layla doesn't say much and hardly expresses herself but she cares about me.

Telling her that Adrian just scammed me would led to another sympathetic look,  truth be told, I don't want to look dumb, definitely not ready for extra sympathy. 

I can take care of myself. 

     When I got to the club, the whole place was jammed, the light boomed so bright right inside my eyes but they couldn't take away my problem, a drink would.. A very strong one at that.

I head over to the bartender stand, flashed him a conceiving smile... Like I knew what I was doing.

" I need something strong " 

" okay, "

he grab a bottle of whatever he was holding and mixed a shot that sank fire inside my belle.

It send an amazing energy inside my body and made me feel good for few seconds.

"Ahas! I need another shot as many as they can come".

I said to the bartender who just gave me an uncanny smile.

I'm definitely not going home tonight, I couldn't feel my legs, I never notice the bartender had three heads... Dem! I tried getting up but my legs were stuck to the ground, everything started to get dizzy. 

" hello miss are you okey? 

I could hear voices but I couldn't see who was speaking, I tried move but I couldn't feel my body anymore. Everything was just rotating, I could feel my body been lifted up but yet I couldn't   do anything.

I lost my will to move.

{Louis POV}

"If you don't marry her, I will make your brother, my next successor."

The annoying voice of my father kept echoing in my head.

Over my dead body will I let that happen!.

My mind was filled with rage from my father's warning. All my life, he had planned everything. I can't break down now if I begin to show signs of weakness. He will start messing up with my life like he used to. 

I have to marry Nora to keep my place and rightful inheritance. My mother lost her life for this. 

" I need a drink! " I thought out loud

My friend Oscar who had been watchful of me for a while gave me a knowing look as we shared eye contact and poured me some scotch. 

" Trouble in paradise? ". 

"Not one I can't handle" I replied with full confidence.

Nora and I had established a good understanding, we knew we didn't love each other. 

Nora keep calling me every now and then. Today she celebrates her bridal shower in Miami. I Just finished a long section of video chatting with her and her friends just to prove I was really with the guys. We made a promise to be sincere and build a good friendship. 

" Hey! Check out that girl's  ass." Sebastian said as a typical American playboy.

He left us to go catch up with his current fantasy.

As the waitress brought in more drinks

Oscar drew my attention to a guy, grabbing a drunk girl out of the bar stand towards a close door. 

" hey, the dude might be her boyfriend" I said not wanting to involve myself. 

I finally noticed another man through the VIP lounge glass that separates the lounge and the boozing club downstairs, giving the bartender a large tip as he joined the others towards the door. 

"He's definitely not her boyfriend,I think they added something to her drink, I think the bartender had a hand in it". 

"Wanna play superhero, tonight" Sebastian asked laughing not bothered about what was about to happen. He stood  behind us with his new fling who looks intrigue and pleased to be chosen to sit with us. 

"Connor, go deal with them" I ordered my guard.  

I walked toward the bar stand to help the young lady up, the drugs in her system had paralyzed her body making it hard for her to stand, she kept mumbling words I could hardly hear.

" why can't I find love!?, Nobody wants me". 

Oscar chuckles 

"Well beauty!, a lot of guys find you in an intriguing position tonight, luckily you were not made a snacks"

She looked so small and pitiful in this state. 

I carried her to my Luxurious VIP suit, she would be marveled when she wakes up. I called the hotel doctor to check her body in case of drug overdose and any toxic harmful substance. 

"When she wakes up, make sure she gives you a

" Thank you for saving me sex"

Sebastian teased me since he knew that was never going to happen. 

" Get lost, you monkeys"

Sebastian kept teasing me about enjoy myself for the last time since I would soon be caged as a married man, literally his own words.

As I placed her on the bed. I leaned forward for the first time, I took full notice of her long legs, long glossy chestnut hair and pink plump lips which was quite seductive even without any make-up . Indeed she was a beauty as I watch her sleep like a baby with no fear of anything in the world. 

My heart ceased for a couple of breaths, what would have happened to her if we had not intervened. I felt so protective of this stranger. She looks quite younger when I tried looking  for her ID , I got interrupted by a phone call.

I grab my phone, it was Oscar whom I just left not quite long ago. 

" hey... What's up? "

" Something just happens to Nora, she was found in her own pile of blood "

"What...? How,. No!,"

I was so disoriented without any idea what just happen.... 

" Louis! Are you there? " he called 

"Yes, just book me a flight back home.
