I took my flace closer to the tinted glass wall to see what was happening in Asher's office but unfortunately, I still couldn't see anything.

It was clear to me now that the walls were made so that one could only see outside from inside, but not inside from outside.

It was soundproof too so I couldn't hear anything but I bet Asher was in a heated argument with his mother.

He looked too angry before I left, like he could break something or someone, anything at all.

His mother on the other hand, looked like she was ready to fuel his anger.

I wanted to regret not walking away when Asher gave me the chance to but I knew it was way past late to do that now.

What was her problem with me anyway?

Asides the fact that I was black and not at the same social status with her, she just seemed to have a special hatred for me.
