Chapter 3

As we glided through the dance floor I got the opportunity to know more about him. The more I got to know him, the more I was interested in knowing more.

As the dance ended I grabbed a glass of water from the waiter who walked past me, downed it and went in search of the restroom. I guess I just need a minute to calm down before I get too invested in the fun and appeal of Noah and do something that I might regret.

As I entered the restroom, I adjusted my makeup while I gave myself a strong lecture on the disadvantages of falling for Noah Anderson. To be honest, he caught me off guard because he was nothing like what the media painted him to be. I've heard a lot about Noah Anderson and I was expecting an arrogant and lascivious rich boss, not the calm and attentive young man I just danced with which confused me quite a bit because I was all prepared to handle the arrogant young master but this attentive side swept me off my feet and against my better judgment I'm intrigued.

"Baby girl wake up. You can't fall for a Playboy" I kept repeating in my head as I exited the restroom.

I saw him waiting immediately I stepped out of the restroom and the resolve I made to stay away from him disappeared into thin air.

However, I noticed something was different about him but I couldn't quite wrap my head around what was off.

"I'd love to drive you home if you don't mind" he said while extending his hands towards me and I took it without a second thought.

As I walked out of the charity event holding Ava's hand in mine I felt I was genuinely interested in a person and that was a feeling I hadn't experienced in a long time. I hadn't been interested in anything for a long time and I seemed to have forgotten how it even felt but it seems she has been able to restore a part of me I never knew was lost.
