Alexander pushed Matthew away from Sapphire and held her in her arms, he tried to move closer but he glared at him.

“Don't try to move closer, stay where you are,” He gritted out, glaring daggers at the man.

She wondered what he had said or done to trigger Sapphire's past, the man lowered his hand while still staring at it.

“I would take my wife away now,” He told him and he nodded. Alexander turned to go but Matthew held him by the arm which made the man turn to look at him.
