"Mind your own business for once." Lucas barked at Lucy.

Lucy was taken aback by Lucas's outburst towards her. From her conversation with Mia earlier, and how upset Lucas was, she knew that their plan had gone just as planned.

Lucy was impressed by Mia for the first time in a long while. She had expected Mia to call her back and tell her that their plan had gone side ways or expected that she would be home waiting for them and Mia would walk in looking like a wet dog but that was not the case.
