Cario’s pov)

I watched as Isabella's life fell apart, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. I had provided the video footage that Levi and Mia had manipulated, and now Isabella's reputation was in tatters.

I knew I had made a mistake, but I had been blinded by Mia's promises of wealth and power. I had let my ambition cloud my judgment, and now I was paying the price.

As I saw Isabella struggle to rebuild her life, I knew I had to make things right. I started by trying to gather evidence to prove that Mia and Levi had manipulated the video.

But as I dug deeper, I realized that I was in over my head. Mia and Levi were powerful, and they would stop at nothing to keep their secrets safe.

One day, I saw Isabella walking across campus, looking lost and alone. I followed her, wanting to make sure she was okay.

She ducked into the school's bathroom, and I hesitated for a moment before following her. I didn't want to intrude on her private moment, but I had to make sure she was safe.

Isabella's POV.“Declan what are you doing with that box? It belongs to me” I said in a low whisper and he smiled at him.“What do you think I am doing with your little box? I went up to your room to get your medicines Bella” he said gently and my eyes widened at him as he placed the box on the table.“You what?”“If I had told you to get your medicines. You would have obeyed me but I know for a fact that you are capable of hiding some medications” he aired out as his voice was laced with concern and my heart thudded in my chest. He had seen the test results? The one I stupidly tucked into the bottom of the box beneath everything else? But then I noticed his calm and composed look. And that was when I knew he hadn't seen it, at least not yet. Relief instantly washed over me as Declan pulled out the medicine bottles.“Come on. You need to take these” he urged and I winced at him as though I was in pain.“Not now Declan. At least just give me some time for my food to digest”“Really? Ha

Isabella's POV.I was reluctant about it but I finally changed into my nightwear as I heard the sound of plates in my head and then I realized that it was only Declan that could do such. After all, it was only me and him in the entire house. I made my way downstairs as I felt the coldness of the floor beneath my feet and my eyes landed on Declan. He was wearing sweatpants and a plain black T-shirt. The sleeves of the t-shirt were rolled up to his elbow, like he would normally do. He stood in front of the gas cooker as though he belonged there.“Do you cook?” I asked, leaning against the doorframe with my arms crossed over my chest as he turned to look at me.“I learnt how to cook from my grandmother and I really never saw it as a necessity to use my skills but I guess I have to do it now” he said.“What do you mean by doing it now?” I repeated, arching my brow at him and he chuckled at my expression.“I said that because you look like someone who hasn't eaten in three days” he added

CAIRO'S POV.I decided to tease him a little and I turned my back against him, trying to walk out of the door but I felt Ryan's hand wrapped around my wrist. As he pulled me back with a force that spoke louder than any words. That was one thing I loved with Ryan. He didn't ask. He didn't beg. He just acted. His tight grip on my wrist swallowed my breath and before I could try to protest with him. His mouth was on mine again, this time around his kiss was harder and desperate. Like he had tried to convince himself to let me go but he failed miserably.I didn't resist him because his touches were driving me insane. It didn't even give me an opportunity to choose. My back hit the wall with a soft thud as his warm breath on my neck made me gasp and he didn't wait to take advantage of me, or should I say my weakness? As he deepened the kiss.“You are driving me insane Cairo” Ryan murmured against my lips.“Very good Ryan. Now you know what it feels like” I replied, my hands gripping the co

Isabella's POV.“Are you hungry?” Declan asked, standing a little closer to me than necessary and I shook my head at him.“Not for food” I replied and he gave me a look that was unreadable.“Perhaps, are you thirsty? I can offer you water, tea, or wine?” “I will prefer wine” I voiced out softly, biting my lower lip.“Please sit on the couch and wait for me a little. I'll be back in a jiffy, I just want to get the bottle of wine and glasses” he informed and in less than no time he returned, pouring us each a glass of wine and we sat down on the couch.“I wasn't sure you would actually come. I mean after you blatantly refused my request” he said.“Neither was I ever prepared to come here. I had no idea that things wouldn't turn out the way I wanted and I would end up deciding something else that I never thought of and it wasn't part of my plan” “So why did you choose to accept my request and grace your presence in my beautiful mansion?” “Oh please. You don't always have to repeat tha

Isabella's POV.I didn't know what I expected when I asked Declan to pick me up. Maybe, I expected a moment of weakness but it didn't happen. But the moment I hung up the phone I couldn't stop pacing up and down. The hoodie I was dressed in suddenly felt too warm for me as it clung onto me as though it was my second skin. I removed the hoodie from my body and flung it onto the couch as I walked upstairs to my room to fetch my duffel bag.I decided I wasn't going to pack much. I was just going to pack up the necessary essential items I needed, which was some of my favourite clothes, my toothbrush, my charger, and one book I probably wouldn't read because I would end up staring at Declan instead. And it wasn't as though I would admit that to myself or anyone.God. What was I even doing?Once I was done packing, I zipped up the bag and sat on the edge of my bed as I chewed my tongue. How weird was it right? I always chewed my tongue when I was lost in a world that didn't exist and here I

Cairo's POV.I saw when Mia entered Ryan's office and also left his office. I won't lie I felt a little bit jealous or should I say I felt overly jealous to see her bonding with Ryan. It took so long for her to come out but when she finally did I decided that I was going to use the opportunity I saw at the spot to my own advantage.I didn't bother to knock at Ryan's door because girls like me didn't have to knock. We enter inside a particular place and as soon as our presence is being noticed, we command and break things just to watch men fix it for us.My eyes fell on Ryan who was behind his desk and his sleeves were rolled to his elbows. He looked up when I stepped in and I saw something flicker in his eyes. It wasn't a look of surprise because Ryan West was never surprised but instead he was curious.“You are not on my schedule Cairo” he said with a cold voice, placing his pen down without looking away.“That is because I don't belong in calendars. Have you forgotten that I am your

Mia's pov“Do you think I am that cheap to hook up with Ryan? I'm a business woman and here to discuss business with him, so shift away from my path otherwise you won't like what I will do to you” I warned, pointing a finger at her and before she could reply, Ryan's door opened.“ Where is all this noise coming from?” Ryan asked as his eyes landed on me.“Mia?” He called out my name and I smiled at him.“Your personal assistant Cairo tried to stop me from seeing you” I said, glaring hard at Cairo as Ryan glanced at Cairo with a frown on his face then he turned back to me.“Mia, why are you here unannounced?”“I need to speak with you. It's very urgent” I said as I noticed the hesitation in Ryan's movements then he finally nodded.“Come inside my office” he urged and I looked at Cairo one last time with a smirk on my face and walked into his office as the door clicked shut behind us.“What is going on Mia?” Ryan asked and I folded my hands across my chest.“I should be asking you that

Mia's POV.The click of my heels filled the four walls of my parent's house as I made my way towards the sitting room. My mum was seated at her usual spot towards the window with her favourite parsley tea in her hand as she slipped it slowly, scrolling through her phone then she glanced up at me.“Mia you don't look like someone that just lost a baby” my mum said, dropping her cup down on the table.“Maybe, it's because I'm not heartbroken about it” I replied, shrugging my shoulders at her as I sat on the couch beside her and I noticed the way her eyes looked at me with curiosity. “That is your child we are talking about. It was you and Levi's baby, I thought you were in love with him?” my mum asked and a dry laughter escaped my lips. It was so funny of her not to know my real intentions behind wanting Levi all to myself and I achieved it.“I was never in love with Levi mum. I just wanted him because he belonged to Isabella, I just couldn't stand watching her have everything. So I did

Isabella's POV.The silence in the house was self attacking to me. Ryan had left for office a few hours ago, he informed me that he will be back before dinner but that's none of my business if he comes back or not. I didn't care about him.I was left alone in the house with nothing but my thoughts swirling in my head. I had a remote control in my hand but it wasn't of any use to me because I had gotten used to it already. I wasn't paying attention to the movie anymore because I had watched the movie three times already in one sitting. It was the same storyline and the same happy ending that I had expected. I leaned my back against the couch as I was dressed in an oversized hoodie that I loved so much. The sleeves of the hoodie swallowed my hands but he didn't bring me the comfort I needed. My fingers absentmindedly brushed against my phone screen as I saw that there were no missed calls or no new messages from Declan. The truth was that I missed him so very much. I missed Declan a lo
