ISABELLA POV

I adjusted awkwardly on my seat because now that the effects of the alcohol I had drank had begun to fade, it was embarrassing having to see him again. How did he not feel embarrassed? Or is it because this isn’t his first time?

“ Let’s get straight to the point. Would you be my wife?” He asked and for a minute, my mind had to process his words before I turned a bright pink.

“ I know I’m gorgeous and all but who falls in love with someone they just met!?” Was he out of his mind?

“ Forgive my boss’s teasing. He was just trying to pull your legs,” who I assumed to be his secretary sighed.

“ You’re very interesting,” he rubbed his chin. He loved my reaction to his bizarre words.

“ A-anyone would react the way I did,” I stuttered. “ Stop joking around and say what you have to,” I exhaled.

“ I wasn’t joking about the marriage part though, I just said it vaguely,” he answered. “ And my name is Ryan. I’m well aware of who you are and everything that has happened to you so far,” he crossed his legs.

“ What are you? A stalker?”

“ Isabella Genovese, clocked twenty-one years this year. You’re also in Castro University and you’re pretty much a model student,” he read out with a straight face. “ Do you want me to go on?” He smirked.

“ No, anybody can get that sort of information from anywhere. I’m a Genoveseafter all, it’s not unnatural to have caught someone’s eye,” I said. As much as I despised my family, I was unfortunately still from a wealthy and influential family like the Genoveses.

“ Do you have any idea what I really want? If you can tell me that, then I’ll believe you aren’t some creep,” I folded my arms.

“ I heard that your fiance cheated on you with your younger half-sister. I also heard that she’s carrying his child,” he tapped the rim of his glass. “ You want to ruin them and your family in general right? You feel and are certain that the Genoveses killed your mom, isn’t it?” He knew too much.

“ Who exactly are you?” I clutched my chest.

“ I must have hit the hammer on the nail quite perfectly,” he snickered. “ I’m Ryan West and yes, it’s the very same popular West family you know,” he was confident that I knew.

        “ No way…”

“ My offer is pretty simple, marry me in exchange for your revenge. You certainly can’t touch the Genovesefamily with how powerless you are, the only way to make them pay is to have someone like me backing you up,” he rested his back against the couch. “ Well, ultimately, it’s your choice so what do you say?”

As I stood before my Dad and Stepmom, my heart raced with anticipation.

“ I’m moving out,” I announced. My voice was firm and I felt a sense of resolve wash over me.

From my peripheral vision, I could see my stepmom’s eyes widen in shock.

“ What do you mean you’re moving out?” She exclaimed loudly, her voice was laced with a mix of surprise and annoyance.

“ Exactly what I said, I’m leaving.” I shrugged, clearly ignoring her.

My stepmom’s face turned red, and she started to ramble, “ But why? You can’t just…..”

“ Oh please! Save it okay.” I cut her off, cause my patience was wearing thin. “ We both know you’re happy I’m leaving.”

My dad scowled, his expression turned disapproving. “ Isabella, don’t speak to your mom that way.”

His words ignited a spark of anger within me. “ She’s not my mom,” I spat, my voice turned venomous. “ To think you have the audacity to say that when we both know you cheated on my actual mom.”

My Dad’s eyes blazed with fury. “ Isabella, that’s enough. You’ll respect your stepmother regardless of her being your biological mother or not!”

I remained resolute, my heart began pounding in a steady rhythm. “ I’m moving out for good. Not for school, neither for some temporary thing. I’m getting married.” I deadpanned, with my arms folded across my chest.

The room fell silent, and they both exchanged shocked and confused glances.

My Dad’s face turned red, and he spluttered, “ What kind of silly tantrum is this? What do you mean you’re getting married out of the blue?”

I kept my voice calm, trying to convey a sense of certainty. “ It’s not a tantrum. I’ve made up my mind.”

My Dad slammed his fist on the table.

“ You will return to your room right this minute and forget about this nonsense!”

  • THE CEO'S HIDDEN VOWS   chapter 123

Isabella's POV.I didn't have enough time to think about anything. How I wanted to be pleasured and how I wanted to scream so loudly that my voice would be heard from kilometers away.I knew Declan had me starving for me and his actions showed me everything I needed to know. He pulled me closer to him and I began to think if I had ever been so close to anyone in my life like the way he held me so closely to him.I kissed him and I could feel his already hard dick against me.“God, Isabella” he muttered my name as his hands roamed around my body, like he didn't know where to touch first. He slowly removed my dress from my body as he used his tongue to trail kisses down to the side of my neck and I tilted my head to the side to give him more space to pleasure me.“I swear. You always find a way to drive me insane” he murmured the words softly, then I felt his teeth bite me gently on my neck and I gasped out as my body jerked in a single motion. His fingers found their way down to my pan

  • THE CEO'S HIDDEN VOWS   chapter 122

Isabella's POV.For once I didn't even think about how peace would feel but here I was experiencing every bit of it with Declan in my life.We were finally back home after overcoming a risky death situation in India and now we were facing the scandals and secrets in our hometown that almost destroyed us but we overshadowed it and came out stronger than ever.Because of everything we had gone through. We didn't even realize we hadn't spent time with each other, I mean things were now better between us despite being around each other. Our bodies weren't close at all, our bodies didn't align with each other and it needed to so we can both belong to one another for a lifetime. We were in our bedroom and the night air was so cold. My feet, my hands, my body. Everything inside of me was so cold and I desperately needed some warmth.“That is enough of the silence between us. Let us break it down with some sweet red wine” Declan said as he poured the already open wine into our empty glasses w

  • THE CEO'S HIDDEN VOWS   chapter 121

Ryan's POV.I had never hated the walls of my office more. The glass and the slick modern lines, they all seemed to mock me, reflecting back the face of a man who had failed on every possible level. Cairo stood across from me, her arms clutched tightly around her waist. Her eyes were wide and glossy. “Ryan.. please I can explain” Cairo begged and I shoved the thick manila folder across the desk so hard that it skidded and almost fell off.Photos, print out of chat logs, and money transfer receipts spilled out. The evidence was the damn proof that Cairo had collided with Mia and Levi to ruin Isabella on what was supposed to be our happiest day.“You disgust me” I said, my voice frighteningly calm. The rage in my chest was volcanic and bubbling just under the surface. “How long were you working with them? How long were you laughing behind my back when you destroyed the only woman I have ever-”I stopped myself right in time because I wasn't giving Cairo that satisfaction. She tried t

  • THE CEO'S HIDDEN VOWS   chapter 120

Isabella's POV.Coming back home felt strange after everything that had happened in India. The fear, the surgery, and the quiet miracle of waking up again. The house seemed almost too still and I paused by the front door, just breathing in the familiar scent of vanilla.“Welcome home Mrs Westwood” Declan said as he squeezed my hand in his and I smiled at him though my smile trembled at the corner of my lips.“It feels like a lifetime ago that I just walked through this door,” I said.“And it is still yours. It is ours and it will always be” he said and he pulled me into his arms and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead. I leaned into him as I closed my eyes and in that moment everything else fell away, the scandals, the surgeries, and the nightmares. It was just us.“Whatever happens now. I am fighting this war with you, the Genovese name, Mia's lies, the vultures waiting for a story. I don't care because I am right here” Declan whispered against my hair.A tear slipped down my cheek bu

  • THE CEO'S HIDDEN VOWS    chapter 119

Mia's POV.I didn't know how long I had been sitting on the floor of my bedroom. My phone was clutched so tightly in my hand that it felt extremely painful for me but I couldn't stop holding onto it, it was like the only life support I had at that moment. The screen of my phone glowed with the headline that felt like a knife pressed to my throat.DNA SCANDAL: MIA GENOVESE EXPOSED- NOT THE REAL DAUGHTER OF THE GENOVESE DYNASTY.There were other words beneath it. Bastard, fraud, scandal swirling together until my vision got blurred.I wanted to scream or run. Or claw at my own skin, but instead I just start there frozen.I didn't know. I didn't know what to do at that moment. A choked sob forced its way up my throat. This couldn't be true. It couldn't be, my entire life and the parties, the legacy, and the way people looked at me was because I was a Genovese. If I wasn't, then who the hell was I?Before I could stop myself, I was on my feet, grabbing my purse and keys with shaking hands

  • THE CEO'S HIDDEN VOWS    chapter 118

Isabella's POV.I clutched the edge of the hospital bed as I swung my legs over the side, my breath was shallow. Three days ago I had been wheeled into surgery with odds so cruel that still made my stomach twist. Now I was here, my feet touching the cold floor of a hospital room in India, trying to remember what it felt like to stand on my own. Declan was instantly by my side, his hand gripping my elbow like he thought I might shatter. Honestly, I probably looked like it. My skin was pale, and my arms were thin after weeks of illness and fear. But when I caught his worried eyes, something inside of me hardened.“I have survived worse” I teased softly, even though we both knew that that was a lie. Nothing had ever been this close to the edge.“Baby” he murmured, bending to press his forehead to mine, “I need you to stop trying to act so damn strong. It is okay to lean on me” “I know” I whispered, And I did. More than ever. The doctor came inside with a smiling face as he handed Decl
