CHAPTER 19

In his car, Stefan was doing everything he could for his strength to not let him fall there, where he needed them the most.

And for every minute that went by, Maria Fernanda seemed to black out.

“We’re almost there.” He said, driving like a crazy.

His left hand on the steer wheel, had his eyes straight ahead and his right hand on the leg of Maria Fernanda.

Maria Fernanda smiled, she was losing herself in the world of dreams, those dreams that were broken now and just guiltiness absorbed them, altogether with her hallucinations.

“I’m sorry,” she said, calling Stefan’s attention at the moment. The woman was indeed hallucinating. “I’m very sorry,” she continued. The fever was going up and it was getting difficult to stay awake, so her dark side was coming out.

“Why are you saying so, Maria Fernanda? I’m the one who doesn’t care about my employees.”

“I… I’m… I’m not Maria Fernan-” She said, almost in a whisper.

That only phrase came into Stefan’s consciousness and made him doubt
