Rushly, the car continued its way to the hospital, feeling how instability made Stefan’s body its prey. From time to time he looked at Maria Fernanda like he was making sure that she was still there when she was deeply sleeping next to him. In Stefan’s mind he just wanted to think that he was looking at her just because it was a way to see how she was, but inside of him, deeply inside of him he knew the reason was afar different and it had to do something with what he had discovered as soon as her body had fallen in his arms like she was some kind of a Cinderella. Something was wrong with her and for the first time, he cared about someone and this someone was a woman.

“We’re almost there, Maria Fernanda,” he said as she was listening to him. “ I said I shouldn’t have mercy or compassion for people like you, " he continued explaining to her, but more than being an explanation to her it was an explanation to himself. “But I’m here, Maria Fernanda, I’m not a bad guy, right?”
