"Come on, let me drop you off." Caleb said, straightening his jacket.

Layla hesitated a bit. "I left my car at your place."

"That's already taken care of." He said dismissively.

"What do you mean?" Layla asked feistily.

"My driver had returned it to your house about an hour ago."

Layla was confused. "How is that even possible? I'm with the key right here."

Caleb smirked. Then he said with a low voice. "Because sweetheart, I have a spare key to every car you can lay your hands on."

"You what?" Layla shot in disbelief." Now this is more crazy than I thought."

"Relax. It's only for emergencies."

"That's not comforting, Caleb."

"It doesn't have to be. I didn't say it was either. " He replied carelessly and walked towards the car.

Layla shook her head in frustration but followed anyway. There was no more arguing energy left in her. All she wanted to do was get home, close the door, and breathe again.
