CHAPTER 1
NEW YORK
[MetLife Stadium]
The stadium thundered with life—golden light sticks sweeping in massive, glowing waves, the crowd’s roar shaking the very air.
One chant rose above everything.
**GOLDEN ECHO.**
Lights plunged to black.
A lone golden spotlight pierced the darkness.
Three figures stepped forward, commanding the entire arena.
Jaxon in the center—black leather jacket open over a fitted black tank, silver chains glinting against his chest, sharp features and intense gaze radiating quiet power.
Kai on his right—wide playful grin, silver-streaked hair tousled, cropped black hoodie flashing hints of toned midriff, pure chaotic energy.
Ryu on the left—tall and lean, dark hair falling into piercing eyes, black bomber jacket and leather pants giving him that cool, untouchable edge. The silent storm of the trio.
No one else. Just three men. Raw harmony. Unbreakable chemistry.
The screams erupted like an explosion.
“GOLDEN ECHO! GOLDEN ECHO!”
Jaxon raised the mic, voice low and smooth.
“New York… you with us tonight?”
The arena answered with deafening chaos.
He gave that slow, dangerous smirk that always sent the crowd wild.
The beat crashed in.

[Clifford Business Empire Headquarters]
Matte-black Rolls-Royce Phantom glided to a stop with silent authority.
The driver opened the rear door.
Leonard Clifford emerged—tall, broad-shouldered, black suit tailored sharp. Dark hair flawless. Ice-blue eyes scanning the world with cool detachment.
Staff straightened. Conversations died. The lobby felt smaller in his presence.
He moved straight to his private elevator. Top floor. No words. No smiles.
Office doors parted.
Kai was there—lounging in Leonard’s massive chair, feet up on the desk, popping bubble gum, silver hair messy, wearing an oversized GOLDEN ECHO hoodie that hung loose on his frame.
“Hey, babe,” Kai said with a bright grin, hopping up and crossing the room in quick steps.
He wrapped his arms around Leonard’s neck in a loose hug.
Leonard didn’t hug back. His arms remained at his sides.
“What are you doing here?” Leonard’s tone was even, controlled. “You know I keep personal life separate from work.”
Kai tilted his head, smiling wider. “I’m your boyfriend. No schedule today. Thought I’d come surprise you… spend some time together. Come on, don’t be so serious, handsome.”
Leonard let out a slow breath.
Kai’s eyes sparkled. “Yes or no?”
“No. I have meetings. Another time.”
Kai’s smile faded. His eyes shimmered—hurt flashing quick and real.
“Why does it always feel like I’m the only one trying? You never have time. Just… work. Can’t you spare me even a little?”
Leonard’s jaw tightened. He disliked seeing Kai upset—it pulled at something he preferred to ignore.
Kai waited, knowing exactly how to play it.
“Fine,” Leonard said quietly. “What do you want to do?”
Kai’s face lit up again. “Mall first! Then lunch. Just us. No phones. Please?”
Leonard sighed once more, but he nodded.
Kai grabbed his hand, already talking a mile a minute as they headed out. Leonard followed in silence, mind drifting back to his schedule.
He wondered quietly:

Comments were wild.

One anonymous comment made him pause:
💬 You’re too fine for your own good.
Jaxon frowned, closed the app, and set the phone aside.
The door burst open. Ryu dove onto the bed, landing half on top of him.
“Free day! What are we doing? I’m so bored I could die.”
Jaxon groaned, pushing at him lazily. “Sleep. Go away.”
Ryu laughed, staying put. “You and your naps. But seriously—where’s Kai?”
Jaxon shrugged. “Probably with Leonard again. You know how he gets attached.”
Jaxon’s tone stayed neutral, but something flickered in his eyes.
Ryu raised an eyebrow. “That guy? Leonard’s cold as ice. Don’t know what Kai sees in him.”
Jaxon gave a short laugh. “Exactly. Zero personality. Walking business meeting.”
Ryu smirked. “Cold or not, he’s got that whole powerful vibe. Kai’s lucky.”
Jaxon rolled his eyes. “Sure.”
His phone buzzed. Kai calling.
He picked up. “Hey, where are you?”
Kai’s voice was excited. “Out with my guy! Can’t talk long—call you later!”

Jaxon stared at the screen for a second longer than necessary.
A knock at the door.
Vincent, their manager, leaned in. “Jaxon. You’ve been invited to Bruce Wilson’s cocktail party tonight. Great chance for a collab.”
Ryu’s expression dipped slightly—he and Kai weren’t included. But he kept it light.
Jaxon shook his head. “Not interested. If the whole group isn’t invited, I’m not going.”
“Jax—”
“No. That’s it.”
Ryu nudged him. “Come on, go. You’ve talked about working with Bruce forever. Kai would push you out the door if he knew.”
Jaxon paused… then exhaled. “You’re right. Thanks, Ryu.”
He gave Ryu a quick one-armed hug.
Vincent watched quietly, gaze steady on Jaxon.
