CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Audrey was still feeling dizzy from whatever she was dosed with the previous night, she was halfway asleep when the doorbell rang.

Striding over to the door, her eyes widened and beamed with excitement to see Mona.

“ Mona! ”. She squealed and hugged her tight.

“ How are you here, I thought you moved to Portland? ”.

“ Not yet, Grandpa is still making the arrangement, I think that he wants it to be after the funeral”.

“ I see… Come in, where is Uncle James? ”.

“ He left! ”. She replied before rushing over to the couch, bouncing on it as she giggled.

“ I miss! Is this your home, Aunt! ”.

“ And I missed you too, what would you like to have? ".

“Does this house belong to you, I do not see any of your pictures hung on the wall”.

“ No pumpkin, it doesn't belong to me, I am just visiting a friend. Do you like it here? ”.

“ It is small, but it is nice here. Why didn't you go to work today? ”.

“ I am not feeling too well, enough with the questions' pumpkin, What would you like to have? ”.
