Brie

I watch him eat the food like he has never tasted anything like it before.

"So you don't remember anything? " I ask and he shakes his head after taking the last bite of the sandwich.

"So how are we gonna help you find your family? How did you get to the hill? I need you to remember something. Anything!" I utter.

"I can't remember anything!" He says.

I stare at his delicate face. His well-sculptured jaw and his rosy complexion.

Never seen anyone like him before.

His looks are out of this world.

So inhuman. But then he's human.

I wonder about the woman who gave birth to him.

She must be so lucky to have such a beautiful son.

That just worries me.

I have him here in my home and his family is going crazy looking for him somewhere else.

I just hope they take the search to the Internet and create posters.

That way, I'll be able to lead him to them.

"Do you want me to leave? I'll gladly do so. You've done a lot for me already!" His words take me by surprise and bring me out of my thoughts.

"No!" I respond quickly. I don't know why but I don't want him to leave.

There's this attraction to him. This connection.

Something I can't explain. Something so new and warm.

"You can stay here till we find something about you. Can you remember your last name? Maybe I'll search the Internet for any of your relations."

"Sadly I can't remember anything. " He says and I yawn feeling so tired.

"Okay. Tomorrow, we'll try to figure this out. Right now, I'm tired and need to rest. I'll go to my room now." I say and leave him alone in the guest room.

I slam the door behind me.

I don't know why I feel this way but I'm crazy about him and he's just a stranger.

I barely know him and he barely knows anything about himself too.

I can't even bare him to say the word leave.

I feel like I have to take care of him. Really can't comprehend.

Take my clothes off and go take a shower and return.

Putting on my PJs and laying on my bed to sleep.

Jay

Her scent still lingers around the room.

Every corner is filled with her peculiar scent which drives my wolf crazy.

Willy is on the verge of taking control and will definitely run to her room and mark her forcefully.

I have to control it.

" Jay! She's ours why waste any more time? Jay let's get her. Let's mark her. I want her."

"Willy, please! There's a lot to do before we mark her. Just relax."

"Why did you have to lie? Jay, I want her. We've been waiting for her for 2 years now. Please let me mark her. Let's mark her"

"Willy!" I yell in my mind through the mind of communication.

"She's human. I don't know how to do this. We've to figure out how to do this." I say and Willy only rumbles and doesn't respond.

I do feel tired and do want to sleep too but her scent is.

It's hard when your mate is just a room away and you can't touch her or be with her.

It hurts even more when she doesn't even know anything or the real truth about you.

I don't know how to do this and I hope the goddess helps me.

**********

My eyes open wide, inhaling her scent, I find myself walking out of the room to hers.

I open her door and see her laying peacefully on her bed.

Still sleeping though.

Her hair is scattered all around the bed.

She wrapped herself in her blanket and sleeps so peacefully.

Something else comes in sight.

I stare at the drawings pinned and attached to some parts of the wall in her room.

They are all drawings of us. Werewolves.

I find myself staring back at her.

Why does she have all this in her room?

What is it for?

I walk into the room looking around.

The drawings are beautiful and seem to be drawn out of love.

Why would any human draw Werewolves? Humans don't know we exist at least that's what I was told.

Does she know am a werewolf?

"Hey! Why are you in my bedroom?" Her voice fills my ears and I find her staring at me confused.

Just got caught and I have nothing to say to get myself out of this.

"Um...um..." I stutter finding the right thing to say to get myself out of this situation.

I don't want to act creepy and strange around her.

"What are you doing in my bedroom?" She drags the question with All seriousness.

"Your door was slightly open. Thought you were awake. Wanted to say hi then I saw this drawing on your wall" I lied and hope she bought it.

"Really?" I asked with one eyebrow raised.

"What if I was naked?" She asks. My eyes widen as I stare at her speechless.

I feel Willy race within me at the mention of nakedness and thoughts of what she would be like under that PJs of hers.

"I won't have entered if you were naked" I fake a laugh trying to control Willy and his taunts.

"What are these drawings on the wall?" I ask her.

"Werewolves. "

"Werewolves? "

"Yeah! " she gets off the bed to stare at the picture that I couldn't stop staring at. The wolf looked so big and strong like a beta but not as big as an alpha.

"You're interested in them? "

"Yes. I believe in their existence. "

"So do I" I blurt out unconsciously.

I wish I could take this back but it's already out.

I see her eyes lighten with surprise and happiness.

"You do? " she asks and I nod.

"I thought you can't remember a thing"

I shrug not being able to answer and just like that, she lets it slide.

"It's awesome. Really. Finally, someone who gets me. People do not believe my theory. Not even my best friend Cara. " she says.

"Why are you so strongly attached to them? "

"I won't necessarily call it an attachment but let me show you something. "

She brings her phone and shows me a picture of a wolf hiding behind tall plants in a garden.

"See, this is a wolf but no one believes it. Everyone calls it a bear. "

" I don't understand, where was this taken? " I ask quite confused.

"A few days ago I attended a party with a friend and there became chaos due to this creature who everyone feared. Someone took this photo and posted it on the net but still,  everyone calls it a bear. When it's not. " she says.

I stare at the photo, speechless.

How can there be a wolf in the human world? Wolves were banished a long time ago and how the hell did I cross the border when I heard wolves only die if they cross the border?

Was that a lie?

" The wolf is a killer wolf. It kills once in 5 months. It killed my dad but his case wasn't thoroughly investigated though. Every single murder this wolf commits is always tagged Bear attack. A bear that hasn't been caught."

This felt like a dream.

"No way. " I gasp, lost in thought I could barely move. All I do is stare blankly. This was a discovery and a strange one too.

Doubting her wasn't an option from the photo even though it was dark, I could see the wolf. It had red eyes which meant it was ready to kill and its canines were twice as long.

Weren't werewolves banished?

"I need to go," I say still unable to comprehend all issues.

"You're leaving? After all, I just told you? I've never told anyone this because they won't believe me and now I tell you, you just wanna leave?" she did sound offended.

" Do you even believe me? Or you're just like everyone else? Blind to the truth. "

"Of course, I believe you. I just realized I'm famished. "

"Fix yourself a meal or you can take groceries," she says as I leave.
