Human mate

Jay

It felt like death initially, till I let my eyes open and find myself under a dark sky.

I turn to look behind me and all I see are bushes.

The atmosphere felt different everything didn't feel the same way it did at the park.

There was a change.

I could see lights shining from afar so I try to walk towards the light.

Understanding if this is the afterlife and I'm already dead.

Then a scent that awakens my wolf, fills my nostrils.

I turn around searching for the source of the scent but the path is empty.

"it smells like mate" Willy says.

I walk in the direction of the scent going into the path with houses.

There she stood, with her brown hair. The scent was so alluring.

Our gaze meets and she stares at me with her furrowed eyebrows.

Can she feel it too?

Is she a wolf?

So many questions running through my mind.

"Hello! " she says taking small steps towards me.

"Hi! " she still had a disturbed expression on her face and I was intoxicated by her scent.

It became hard controlling Willy as he rumbles anxiously inside me.

I look back at where I first found myself.

I had just crossed the border to the human realm but it's said any attempt to cross the border would become death.

Am I dead?

It doesn't feel so. The most magnificent creature is standing before me. It's impossible to be dead.

Just like me, I could see her trying to curtail some kind of feeling. Possibly she feels it too, but where am I?

The human realm? That's imposed regarding all I've been told, im supposed to die since I crossed the border but for now, that didn't seem to bother me much.

Before me is an elegant creature who couldn't stop staring at me.

"Who are you?" she asks still staring strongly at me.

"I don't know. I don't even know how I got here. What is this place?" I ask

"Earth. Are you lost or something? You look pretty lost and confused too."

"I really can't remember anything. " I lie.

She looks around.

"so you know no one here? "

I shake my head.

"That sucks," she says. I notice the dark circles under her eyes and so badly wanted to ask but I couldn't.

" We should report to the cops. That you're a missing person. "

The sound of cops gets me thrilled.

I doubt if I want that right now. What would I tell them?

"No! No! I do want to. Whatever happened to me, whoever my relatives are, I'm sure they'll find me. "

"You sure? " she asks and I nod.

"Do you maybe have a place to stay? "

I shake my head again. Still trying hard to tame my wolf.

Jay that's mate. I want my mate. Let's get her Jay. We've waited for her. Let's get her.

"We can't at least not now. She's human. I need to understand why my mate is human" I tell him as he rumbles giving me this uncomfortable feeling but I try my best to mask it.

"Perhaps I should take you to my home till your family finds you," she says and I smile happily.

"Thank you... " I look at her speechless. I didn't know her name and just kike she could rest my mind, she says her name.

"Brie! " she utters.

We walk in silence as Willy rumbles inside me.

Her scent filled my nostrils and just noticing that delicate spot on her neck makes me feel like sinking my canines deep into that spot and making her mine but I can't.

I just have to figure out why my mate is a human and why I didn't die when I crossed the border.

I find myself lying just to be with her.

I watch her lead the way to her home.

I can't possibly lose her.

She's the only one I know here and more so my mate.

The urge to mark her is so strong and my wolf is so stubborn.

I find myself fighting my wolf as it tries to take over and lead my body.

"She's ours. Get her Jay. Mark her."

He says but I shove him away.

"Willy, She's a human. Wolf don't mate with humans. I don't know the risk right now. I need to figure this all out. For now please relax. I want her as bad as you do." I utter and it relaxes.

But it's really hard to ignore her scent.

My eyes roam around her body.

She's a definition of perfection. Her pretty brown hair to her long eyelashes.

She looks good with the freckles on her face.

Like an angel and I haven't seen any creature as amazing as she is.

I watch her like a movie as she walks. The air is a bit awkward.

I notice it from the look on her face.

But her willingness to help a stranger is really strange.

Or does she feel it too?

I doubt. She's human and mating with humans, according to the tales from the books my mum did tell us, it has been decades ago.

Before wolves got banished from the human world.

"We are here!" She smiles and stops before a house.

Quite small.

Back in the pack, the houses are large. Accommodating several families.

Our pack house specifically had ranks.

The house of the Alpha and his family is different from that of the Beta and the Gamma.

The rest of the wolves live in large houses. With their pups.

"Come in" she says and I walk right behind her into the house.

My gaze meets with a little boy. Maybe 7 years old and a woman watching a movie.

I know a lot about the digital world.

Our world is also digitally controlled.

One thing I just can't do is drive a car. We wolves don't have cars. We prefer running on our feet.

Wolves see cars as being lazy so if a car is ever noticed in the pack, it's been burnt to ashes.

"Mum, Xander. Meet..." She glance at me and I quickly understood what she meant.

"Jay!" I help her answer.

The expressions on their faces didn't go unnoticed.

Especially the little boy who looked so irritated by my presence.

"Who's he?" Her mum asks.

"Someone lost. He has amnesia so he can't remember anything and I decided to help him." She says and I feel so loved by those words.

Looking at her I just feel like holding her so close but I have to control myself and it's so torturing.

I've always wanted a mate. A destined mate. I always thought she would be the finest wolf but I'm mated with a human.

A very beautiful human.

"You brought a stranger home?" Her mum asks pissed.

"He needs help!" She retorts.

I stare at the drama speechless.

I feel her pull me further into the house against her mother's wishes.

"Brie has always been a freak. Just let her do what she wants. Maybe she has finally fallen in love!" I hear the little boy say and I must say, I'm surprised by his words.

She pulls me into a room.

"Sorry, Jay!" She says.

"How come you remember your name?" She asks.

"I don't know. What's yours?" I ask trying to change the subject.

"Brie!"

"Brie, thank you for your help but don't you think your mum is right? I'm just a lost man. Why help me?"

"I don't know. Stay here. Feel comfortable.  I'll go get you food!" She says and leaves. I find myself glancing around the little room. Which isn't even a quarter of my room in the pack house.

How do humans live in such small spaces?

Don't they feel choked up?

Brie

The weird urge to help him is no doubt terrifying.

I barely know him but I helo him. Though a part of me doesn't want to, there's this part controlled by a strong will to help him.

I only wanted ti to walk around the neighbourhood and probably clear my head and then I met him.

His good looks, his perfection. Never seen any guy as good-looking as he is.

There was a feeling when I first saw him.

It was like my heart skipped for a second.

His strong gaze on me gave me butterflies.

I know Mum would be mad but I want to help him regardless. Im drew to him and I can't figure out why.

Is it because of his looks?

The whole thing is crazy honestly but the feeling is even more crazy.

Something strong that can not be explained with mere words.

"Young lady! " Mum calls with her hand folded on her chest.

"I know I brought a stranger home but I wanted to help him. He is lost. "

"The cops could have taken good care of him. "

"He doesn't want the cops involved. "

"He doesn't want the cops involved? For crying out loud Brie isn't that suspicious? "

"I don't feel it is Mum. "

"You better know what you are doing young lady," she says and walks out.

Zach

"What do you mean you can't find him?" I burst out in anger looking at my guards.

Clark the Head guard stands there with his head bowed.

"How can you tell me he isn't anywhere? Check more! Check more!" I yell.

Jay shouldn't dare to embarrass me this way. Where could he have gone?

Lora runs in crying bitterly.

"Alpha, he isn't in the woods and I can't trail his scent anywhere!"

"Why would he do this? Why would he run away a night before our marriage?" She adds. I console her and pull her into my embrace.

Enjoying the warmth of her body against mine.

"Why don't I give you special treatment tonight? I promise tomorrow he'll be here and you will be the Luna" She follows me into the bedroom.
