The bright morning light seeped into the room through the windows, and to my face, I could feel myself waking up, but before I completely did, the thought of last night came strolling through my mind, causing a soft grin to form. It felt good and at the same time, it felt like that was all I needed.

I brushed my hands through the other side of the bed, from up to down, but it felt weird, either Ethan was lying way too far from me, or he wasn't even on the bed. I furrowed my brows in confusion, my eyes still shut tight.

Instantly, I sprang off the bed and sat up, and before me was Ethan, standing at the balcony with his hands resting behind him. He was already dressed in his suit, probably waiting to say goodbye to me before he leaves for the office.
