CHAPTER 25

MATTHEW POV

As we were having our breakfast, my father noticed the sadness on my face. I am really not in a good mood right now after encountering that weird witch and having a nightmare.

"What's with you, Matthew? It seems you are having a problem!"

I looked at my father and tried to smile at him, "Don't worry Father, it is nothing. I'm just full that is why I don't eat that much."

My father looked at me as if he was not convinced by what I said.

"Out of all the people in the world, you chose to lie to someone who knows you from head to toe. As per some witnesses, you jumped through the window and then you went away. Where did you go and what is your purpose?"

What the hell! I thought I was careful enough to avoid anyone from seeing me. What do I do now? He already caught me lying but I cannot say where I have been.
