The next breath I took didn't seem to leave my body. Instead I felt the same air, hot, being forced down my mouth and nostrils. My brains were pounding in my head and my heart thudding in my rib cage, I could feel it in my back. Bright light from the window hit me in the eyes and when they opened, a white ceiling was above me I couldn't turn my head and the bleeping noise was making my ears ache. My surroundings were strange and unfamiliar.

"Blake?" A familiar feminine voice called out. With a heavy tongue almost choking me out it was hard to speak, "can you hear me? You're in hospital. Let me get the doctor"
