Chapter 20: His Obsession

It’s been more than a week. Adele’s smile vanished from her face. Every person in her family suffered a painful death, whether it was her father or siblings.

Thinking about her sister, she knew she was dead, but the police never discovered her body.

Pulling her knees towards her chest, she rested her head in between them; the only hope for her to live this life was her husband Decker, who was not ready to give up on her.

But at the same time, she knew little about him.

He spent most of the time with her to make her feel happy and to help her find hope in these dark days of her life.

She wanted to visit her home, to feel the warmth of her bygone days. Without Decker’s permission, she drove towards her house.

Everything was normal; looking at her house, where there used to be light in the evening, it was covered with darkness.

Tears filled her eyes; she opened the door with her jingling keys as the creek sound made the door meet her ears.

There was dead silence, and she could only hear a
