Cassandra had no sense of time—no way of knowing how long she had been lost in the abyss of unconsciousness. But a faint, almost tender sensation pulled her back, a gentle caress against her bruised and bloodied face.

Her body remained heavy, drained by the wolfsbane still coursing through her veins, but she forced her eyes to flutter open. The world around her was hazy, blurred by pain and exhaustion. And then, through the dim light, she saw them—those familiar eyes, the same ones she had loved for so many years.

For a moment, she forgot the pain, the torment, the betrayal. All she could do was stare, her breath hitching in disbelief.

The moment she registered his touch, a surge of anger and instinctual fear coursed through her. With the little strength she had left, she smacked his hand away and desperately scooted back, pressing herself against the cold, unforgiving wall as if it could shield her from him.

Her bloodied lips parted, her voice rough but sharp as a blade. "What are you

Leo's roar echoed across the smoldering field, his rage propelling him like a spear toward Lenox. The prince stood tall, his silver eyes locked on his half-brother's broken form. The battlefield behind them was silent save for the crackle of dying flames—Cassandra’s flames."Lenox!" Cassandra’s voice rang out like a command. But he didn’t turn. This was personal now.Leo’s body glowed faintly—his veins pulsing dark as shadow magic and Lycan rage fused within him. He had taken something—an enhancer, or maybe a forbidden spell. His form blurred as he leapt, the dagger he held gleaming a sickly obsidian hue. The very weapon meant to kill Royal Lycans.Lenox braced himself. He didn’t move to dodge.Instead, he caught Leo mid-air, their bodies slamming into the ground with enough force to shatter the earth. They rolled across the ruined field, fists colliding, teeth bared. Leo was no longer just a madman—he was a beast, fully consumed by hate."You don’t deserve the crown!" Leo spat, clawi

"You're not a fool, Cassandra." Said the Head Witch."You know what's going on here, there is no need to ask unnecessary questions. It's as simple as using you as a tool for revenge, nothing else." Amelia added. She's done pleasing Cassandra. She won't live long anyway, she's already old and sickly."Let's just get this over with and stop wasting each other's time." Selene, the Head Witch hissed. The battlefield trembled as the full force of betrayal and vengeance collided. Cassandra stood in the center, her body already crackling with the dormant power of the Blue Flame, her eyes burning with searing light. Across from her stood the unholy alliance of Amelia and the Head Witch, behind her was Scott. All three had lunged at her at once, their attacks synchronized in a desperate last stand.Scott was the first to reach her, claws extended, fangs bared, a wild snarl splitting his face. He had always relied on trickery, always attacked from the shadows—but this was different. This time,

The dagger trembled in Leo’s grasp, its eerie glow pulsating with each heartbeat, the cursed metal thirsting for royal blood. Lenox stood still, battle-worn but upright, a crimson gash at his ribs from Leo’s first sneak attack. Blood seeped through his torn tunic, but his eyes—burning with shock and betrayal—were locked onto the brother he never knew he had.“You really think you can win like this?” Lenox growled, his voice laced with a storm of fury and heartbreak.Leo’s face twisted, a sneer curling at his lips. “You don’t even know what you stole from me.”Without warning, Leo raised the dagger high for a final blow. But Lenox had had enough. With an earth-shaking growl, Lenox’s royal aura burst forth, knocking Leo several feet back. The pressure was suffocating, the ground beneath them cracking under the intensity of Lenox’s power. The façade of restraint he had maintained out of loyalty to his bloodline crumbled away in an instant. His wolf surged beneath his skin, bones shifting

The ground was split with the impact of power. All around, the pack members stood frozen, watching in awe and horror as Cassandra battled Scott like a goddess cloaked in fire and fury. Her once-soft features were now carved in fury, blue flames licking at her skin as though even the air feared her wrath. But as Scott snarled and lunged at her with savage intent, another storm was quietly brewing behind the crowd.Lenox stood near the edge of the clearing, golden eyes never leaving Cassandra. Her movements, though powerful, were still deliberate—she was holding back. He could see it in the subtle tension in her arms and the teasing curve of her lips. She was playing with Scott, wearing him down, emotionally tormenting him the way only someone who knew him could.Beside him, Leo stood silently. Too silently."She's toying with him," Leo said, his voice too calm.Lenox nodded. "She wants him to feel what she felt. Despair. Betrayal. Fear."Leo's gaze didn't waver. But the fire in his eye

The pack grounds still smoldered from the last burst of Blue Fire, a sharp contrast to the deathly quiet that had followed Cassandra’s retreat from Scott’s broken form. The air was thick—not just with smoke, but tension.Leo rushed to Cassandra’s side the moment she stepped away from the crowd, his expression tight with concern. “You’re bleeding,” he said, reaching for her arm. “The poison—Cassandra, why didn’t you say anything?”She tilted her head, watching his panic with distant amusement. “Because it doesn’t matter.”“I know you’re immortal now,” Leo muttered, his jaw clenched. “But that doesn’t mean you’re invincible. Even you shouldn't take hits like that so carelessly.”She gave a small, indifferent shrug. “I barely felt it.”Leo ran a hand through his hair in frustration, his other hand still hovering close. “You're so careless.”“Hmmm,” she agreed softly. He stared at her, the awe in his eyes tinted with something darker. Longing. Obsession. “You could tear this world apart i

Scott lunged with a snarl, claws glowing sickly green with Nether poison as they slashed through the air toward Cassandra’s chest. She twisted at the last second, the claws grazing her shoulder instead of landing a fatal blow. Blood spattered across the dirt—but her face didn’t so much as flinch.“Still fast,” she muttered, taking a slow step back. “But sloppy.”Scott landed in a crouch, feral eyes narrowing. “You're not walking away from this, Cassandra. That poison’s already in your blood. You’ll be paralyzed in minutes.”She glanced at the shallow wound on her shoulder and pressed two fingers to it. Red streaks stained her skin. She met his gaze and smirked. “Oh no… I’m doomed.”He didn’t hear the sarcasm—his blood was rushing too fast with the thrill of the kill. “You should’ve stayed gone,” he spat, circling her. “You think you’re something special now? Coming back here like a ghost?”“Funny,” she said, moving with casual grace as if they were sparring, not fighting to the death.
