"And without Lauren?" He added and I almost spat out my coffee.

He looked at me in confusion.

"What is it? Is anything the matter?" Mr Rons asked with a raised eyebrow but I was quick to shake my head.

"Nothing sir." I gave him a small smile to cover up my nervousness.

I had thought Lauren had gone back home but it was obvious now that she was not home and her father does not have any idea too.

My phone rang and I immediately answered it.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Are you Mr Caden, Mrs Lauren Holtons husband?" The caller asked. I nodded my head as if the person could see me. I quickly realized I was on the phone. I was just too anxious and scared.

"Yes, this is me." I replied. For no reason, my heart beat suddenly increased.

The next thing I heard made me drop my phone on the floor in shock.

With my hands covering my mouth, I gasped in shock. I quickly picked up my phone back and fortunately for me, the screen was not broken.

"Why? What is it? Is something wrong?" Mr Ron
