Sebastian's POV

I had swung my arm very fast to bypass his heart at least. I didn't know what he was doing... thinking of sacrificing for such a dangerous critter in society. My arm had already gone through his chest and I was glad that I didn't get his heart but then...I couldn't get my hands out when I saw Cedino's reaction. He had been smiling all the while and then...I couldn't let his clambering hand add to Phoenix's chest. So...I had to place my back before him and take the damage.

"Did he try to finish him off..?" I queried my gut. He had tossed us both off before I knew I was getting weary. I checked on Phoenix and he was closing his eyes speck by speck. It got me wondering..." Is he, not a vampire..?" My gaze never showed like a merciful one but...deep down I wanted to still help him.

"Why...?" He forced blood out and it seemed like...it was the only word he could reach. He was ready to die for him. I wondered what kind of relationship he was sharing with both breeds.. vam
