I closed the file and dropped it back on the desk with much more force than was necessary.

“I can't do this.” I stated, “Ask your son to do it; maybe then he can learn a few things about the business that he so desperately wants to take over.”

“You know my history with her; I can't have her back in my life.” I stated.
