24. The Wedding
Ikhlas POV.
"Hey What about these?" Haneefah asked, holding a black lingerie up in the air making my cheeks beet red. I still couldn't get over the fact that lingeries were added in the betrothal box.
" I don't need that one too. Take it out" I replied with a scoff, trying very hard to conceal the blush now evident on my cheeks.
"You are the weirdest, stupidest, most moronic person I have ever let myself befriend" she sighed heavily after a long pause, with a look on her face that told me that she'd had enough of my idiotic tendencies. I couldn't blame her for that.

Ikhlas POVSix months later ♥️♥️I woke up to the faint sound of the Adhan (call for prayer) as the whistle-like sound of the breeze from my open window caresses my ears. Haneefah POVPreparations for Humaira and Fati wedding have been hectic, So many arrangements and plannings here and there. Today is the bridal shower and each of them looked beautiful.I am now eleven weeks into gestation which awoke the diminished hope in me. As the pregnancy is getting older, the chances of miscarriage was getting lower.Guess what!My mother in-law is becoming a bit nicer to me even though she is much warmer to Ikhlas, her choice of words when talking to me had gone from spiteful to normal. Her love for horror movies is just too much.After the creepy part which always gets your heart hammering against your ribcage came the scary part that always make your heart skip some beats and your stomach churn out of fear.Yaya came back and joined us.
