For the rest of the day, Taryn kept pestering Kat about the details of the evening before. She told her she will give her the juicy info after work.

The bakery was extremely busy, since it was the Christmas season.

They got a twenty minute break to use the restroom and have a little lunch, so they headed to Katherine's office. Kat was grateful to have her best friend by her side, and she made sure to tell her. "I'm really appreciative to have you by my side every step of the way,"

"That's what friends are for.”

"You're more like a sister to me, Tar, and I love you," Kat confessed as she gave her best friend a hug.

"Don't get all mushy on me. You know I'm not the sentimental type.”

"I don't care," Kat hugged her tighter.

"Alright, alright, I love you too. Now give me that protein bar," Taryn ordered, pointing to the power bar on Kat's desk.

She handed it to her, and she wolfed it down in seconds.

    The drive to the cemetery where Nile was buried was about an hour and a half from Aiden's and Katherine's home. Katherine thought it was a better idea if her mom and Mrs. Lewis came with them so that they could watch the babies while they visited Nile's graveside.
