Chapter 24: The School Visitor

“Mora, the owner of the school will understand if you don't go today” Mama Sarah insisted.

Mora sighed silently “I know Mom, but that isn't a reason for me to skip work, I missed my pupils,” she told her mother, who doesn't want to let her go.

Mama Sarah sat down after trying to convince her daughter from going to work, barely twenty-four hours after being discharged from the hospital, and she is returning to work.

“Fine, you can go, I will go to the farm, and see how the workers are doing, don't stress yourself so much” she gave up completely.

Mora looked at her with an appreciating smile on her face, “thank you, Mom” she said and got out of the house.

She walked to the only primary school in the peasant community, a big frown etched on her face, when she sensed that she was trailed.

She turned around and saw a car, some meters away, the entire windshield was tinted, she swept her gaze on the car, before entering the rusted gate.
