Roseline felt herself debilitating as soon as the King left.
No; this had got to be a dream - a terrible dream.
"Tonight, you'll be in my bed" his words replayed in her head.
She was going to be in his bed? Was he talking about sex? She was going to have sex with him?
Oh God! No. She couldn't do it. She wasn't ready. She couldn't do it.
She was too shocked to even speak or move as she just breathed heavily, trying to digest his words.
The door opened shortly and the older woman - Hannah - came scuttling in.
She paused and scrutinized the look on the young lady's face - how scared and bittered she was.
She stared silently at her for a while.
