LOGINLuna's p.o.v
It is said that today is Crescent's 18th birthday and he is hosting a party after school.
Well I ain't a huge fan of parties, so i won't be going.
Just while I was thinking, I got an invitation message on my phone, a part of me felt like i was always receiving invites because I was Lyall's sister.
"No girl, it's because we are pretty" Amanda retorted.
Yeah I am pretty, no argument on that.
But I am antisocial and I am a bookworm, so the popular kids knew better than to be friends with me.
Lyall approached me, something he never does when we are on school grounds.
"It my friend's birthday today, you are invited" Lyall stated.
"Well, i am not coming" i argued
"You are baby sis" he smirked and walked away.
Like he is gonna force me there. Lyall has tried his very best to make me a little more social, but all to no avail.
**************************
I heaved a deep breath, as I stood before the huge gates of the mansion. I was dressed in a red knee length gown, it had long sleeved and an open back, George got it for me on my seventeenth birthday, and I am just wearing it for the first time.
And I also applied little makeup to my face, so I appeared brighter.
Initially, I don't wanna be here, but Lyall made a promise to me, he would get me the new books just published by my favorite author.
I don't know how he's gonna do it but, he always has his way of doing things.
I really want that book.
After thinking a little more, I went in. As I had imagined, the house was filled with teenage kids, dancing and drinking, while others were talking and kissing.
I spotted Lyall right away, he was with his date, and they started walking towards me. He left me outside earlier, when I was deciding wheter to go in or not.
"Hi, I am Elsie Lyall's girlfriend" she introduced.
Well I wasn't ready to introduce myself to another one of Lyall's girlfriends and then she starts hating me because Lyall dumped her, or she dumps him.
Well, I don't know the dumping part, but it always ends the same.
"You look stunning tonight baby sis" Lyall said.
"Let's go see the birthday boy" he added.
I don't want to see anyone, I am here just for my book. If I react Lyall may go back on his promise, and that will really hurt, after all I did to dress up for this party.
"Happy birthday bro" Lyall greeted the birthday boy. And Elsie I didn't know when she left.
He was dressed in red blazers, matching colors with me and he just had a haircut, so obviously he looks charming.
Lyall pinched me urging me to speak.
"Happy birthday" I greeted also.
"Thanks" he replied almost immediately, like he was waiting for me to speak before.
"You look beautiful" he complimented.
"Thanks" I replied after blushing a thousand shades.
I don't know how the complement thing works so I just said what I thought.
Lyall left me standing with Crescent, he probably went to look for Elsie.
"Wanna have a seat" Crescent offered and I nodded.
I don't really know much about him, but i could tell he was being a gentleman.
I sat not to far from him, we were a little distant from the crowd, maybe he was also trying to get away from them, he didn't look like he was in for it.
"Where's the birthday boy?" said one if Lyall's friends which I recognized to be Jack. He was standing on a table with a glass in his hand. His eyes ran through the party, until he spotted Crescent, and the spotlight went right on him.
"There you are, well don't just sit there, let's have fun. I want you to find the most beautiful girl in party and have a dance with her".
Everybody cheered, waiting for him to pick the girl. He walked right towards me and the spotlight followed him.
He stretched out his right and and asked "may I have this dance?".
Then I looked around, everybody was waiting for my response while some girls were just staring at me with hatred in their eyes. I couldn't find Lyall anywhere amidst them.
"Yes" I said and put my hand in his. I don't really know how to dance, I have only done it once on my birthday, but I have watched a lot in movies.
What is there to risk anyway?
He led me to the center of the party, then I noticed it was more like a ballroom. There was so much light everywhere.
The DJ started playing the music, and Crescent placed his hand on my waist while I placed mine on his shoulder.
"I can't dance to well" I whispered in his ear.
I heard him chuckle a little.
"Neither can I, let's just go with the flow" he replied.
And we did it, we went with every tune, I stated closely into his blue eyes, just realizing how charming those were. And he stared right back at my golden ones.
We finished the dance and everyone applauded.
I left him then and went to sit somewhere else, My heart was beating to fast, maybe it was because I stared into that blue eyes of his for too long.
Other fun activities went on, some were playing the truth or dare game and I didn't get myself involved. I just waited till the party was over so Lyall can take me home.
Luna's p.o.vJoshua avoided me like a plague, no more threats, no more fake friendship. There is only a real one, and that's the girl currently standing beside me, facing the mirror and trying to fix pins into her hair.“Aren't those too much?” I asked Aisha. She seems to be taking today too seriously, I can't blame her though, it's our graduation.“No they aren't, I have to fix my scarf over it,” she explained.“Good luck with that.”I heard my phone beep as I was trying to put on my shoes. I checked it in a rush.~We are at the airport ~ a text from Crescent read.A bright smile appeared on my face and I quickly wore my shoes.I wasn't the one going to pick them up, I called a driver for that. I can't go to the airport, it's a long drive from here and I had a lot on my plate.“Hurry!” I urged Aisha, she was still adding some final touches to her make up.“I am all done girly,” she walked over to me and wrapped her arm around mine. Our car was already waiting for us outside, so we hu
Luna's p.o.v“Very much positive, you are purely human. I wonder where the fool got this idea from,” she fumed.I wanted to rejoice, but I had to act like it was normally expected.“I told you,” I smirked.“You know, severe pranks like this aren't allowed in the school.”“It isn't my fault, I was falsely accused.”“I know, but the careless actions of you youngsters is going put the name of school in jeopardy,” she muttered. She is generalizing the situation and blaming us all. When everything was actually Joshua's fault.“It's…”“Now how do I explain this to the management,” she cuts me off, talking to herself.I guess Joshua didn't only put me in trouble, he also put our lovely Dean in a compromising state.“You would handle it ma'am,” I rooted for her. “I know I would,” she said with a smile, her angry look disappeared.“You can go back to your dorm now, sorry for all the stress you went through.” She said and I nodded while getting out of her office.“Stupid youngsters,” she murmu
Luna's p.o.vI recalled as Aisha drew out blood from her body, she injected it into a test tube. I almost forgot she was a medical student. She handed it over to Ronald and he nodded. I had to explain the relationship between Ronald and I to her earlier, and she took it in a more matured way than I expected.“Well… wish me good luck,” Ronald said.“Good luck,” Aisha muttered with a thumbs up.This might go well, but it's a 50/50 risk.As at now, I sat on a chair, a few nurses around me, the smell of the clinical ward almost making me puke. The nurse injected me and extracted my blood. It wasn't painful like I expected it to be, I have never had blood transfused or taken out of my body before. She dip a cotton wool into some liquid and rubed on the place were she extracted blood from. She also injected the blood into a test tube, one that looked familiar to the one Aisha used. She was a pro at this sort of things, she knew the right measurement and the right type of test tube. She put
Luna's p.o.vThat was a brilliant idea, but it was way out of the ordinary. It carries a lot more weight than she portrays it to be.“That isn't possible Aisha.”“It is, we would have to sneak under their noses. A bit of my blood would have been drawn out first, then when they take your blood too, we would just switch it,” she said hopefully.Where did this girl such ideas from? This is fucking MIT, nothing goes under their noses.“I know you think it's impossible, but that's the only way out. You take the test then switch the blood.”“I am not so sure, but let's see,” I said partly agreeing with her.I felt relieved sleeping at night, Joshua’s case was still at hand but it wasn't bothering me like it ought to, partly because of what Aisha said.I called Crescent and told him of Aisha's creepy plan and he also agreed to it, the both of them had gone nuts.He even added a support system saying we have Ronald for back up, he would be in charge of switching the blood after the test is su
Luna's p.o.vI can't believe it was him all this while. Why didn't I notice, they had the same body stature and the same hair type… duh… they are the same. That stupid piss of trash, no wonder I felt a weird sense of familiarity towards him.Now that I recall, he played his cards well, hiding his identity, using a code name, pretending to still have my back.Damn! He appeared out of nowehere on the day of the airport road incidence. If feels like my brain has just been opened to a new revelation. Why exactly did Joshua do this?Does he hate me so much?Is it because I rejected him? That guy would answer to a whole lot of questions. Aisha walked in, she met me standing on my feet and fussing around.“Hey Luna,” she called.“How was your day?”“It wasn't good, I can't lie.”For sure, she wouldn't have a good day because of my predicament.“Sit,” I told her, and we both sat.I guess it's time to open up to the girl I called my best friend.“I know you aren't a monster Luna,” she said.“T
Crescent’s p.o.vI had a feeling something was wrong right from the start. I called Aisha to confirm it and she told me Luna was feeling uneasy, that's why we made the plan to surprise her, and it almost worked.“We would find a way through this my love,” I said through the phone call. I couldn't add more to her anxiety. I had to find a way to make her feel better.“I messed things up. Now they are asking for a blood test.”A blood test? “No you didn't, it could have happened to anyone,” she didn't respond, “We would rectify this. Do you trust me?”I really wish she had told me sooner, things might have not fallen apart so badly.“I trust you,” she answered.I know it seems tight, but a solution would surely pop out. But first, let me find out who the motherfucker is.“Do you know the guy exactly?”“I don't, he always wears a mask whenever he appears, I haven't seen his face.”“His name?”“I don't know his name either, he only adds the name ‘JJ’ to the threat letters and text message
