Luna's POV

Wtf... Is he still sleeping?

Like hell, I hate my twin brother. No just kidding, I can't possibly hate him?

He is just super annoying, and George is gonna complain if I leave him behind. I gently climbed on his bed and started jumping.

"What the..." He yelled.

It was quite fun, I can't believe this guy is going to be an adult in less than a month, he is just too carefree.

I ran out of the room immediately I saw him getting out of bed.

I knew for sure, he is gonna come after me.

He came downstairs after approximately 30mins, he met me nibbling on my cereal.

"It's about time," Amanda, my wolf nagged.

She is really something.

I wonder how Lyall looks so hot, even when he doesn't bathe properly.

And those stupid girls, always hovering around him like flies.

Well I guess it's because of our genes, we weren't exactly humans. The funniest thing is my hair, whenever I cut it, it just grows back to its normal height in less than a week.

We bade George farewell as we left for school.

While getting to school, Lyall met his friends, leaving me alone to myself.

Well to Amanda.

"I can't wait till we find our mate," she murmured.

"Like we know if he exists," I retorted, through our mind link.

"He exists, he might be waiting for us as well you know," Amanda replied.

"Keep dreaming wolfie."

Even though I would be eighteen in less than a month, I wasn't anticipating any romance.

I don't believe any other werewolves exist.

It is just me and my brother.

I didn't have any friends, I was the real definition of a lone wolf.

I love my solitude.

"Well, if you don't think there is a mate, why don't you find us a boyfriend?"

This nagging wolf!

"If I ever have a boyfriend, how would I explain to him what exactly I am?" 

"It doesn't matter, take Lyall for an example, he is enjoying his youth, you are just keeping us for nothing," Amanda criticized.

It's very true, apart from George, our foster father, no one knew what we were.

I am very beautiful and any boy will be glad to date me.

According to George, he found us in the woods, probably abandoned by our parents.

I wasn't mad at them, they must have had their reasons, especially with the fact that we weren't just humans.

At first Lyall and I were upset, we didn't get what we were, we didn't get why we were abandoned, but George was always there for us, he taught us the things we needed to know.

He raised us like his own, he protected and sheltered us, I will forever be grateful to that man.

But I am still scared of something, I could remember clearly. The night of my sixteenth birthday, I wolfed out... I literally turned into the wolf version of myself, the ‘Glabro’ state.

I didn't want a party but Lyall insisted, I was very glad no one saw me like that. I won't know how to explain myself.

Ever since then, nothing really happened, not even claws came out, but I was still very scared. What if I suddenly become that ‘Glabro’ version of myself again? In the presence of people.

They won't hesitate to call me a monster.

So I have just been playing safe, I haven't really told Lyall and George about what happened, I didn't want them to get scared.

I was scared of myself in that state too. I felt really terrible.

But I can't stop remembering... I also felt powerful, and useful. I felt like that was my purpose. I am undercover in this human form of mine. I felt like me... The true me.

The school bells rang, and I went straight to class, putting my thoughts, aside and listening to the teacher.

Aside from the fact that I was really fast, like I could run around the entire city in less than 30mins, I was also good at studying.

I am the top student of my class, most people call me a nerd, judging with these glasses of mine.

I don't have any eye issue, my eyesight was 10 times better than that of these humans, I just liked wearing specs. It makes me look more student-like.

After I was done with class, I went to the cafeteria to eat alone.

The school's basketball team came in, and those stupid girls cheered like fools.

Lyall wasn't on the basketball team, he played hockey instead, but he was friends with most of them, so he rolled with them.

Lyall was a flirt, he had multiple girlfriends over the years and he was one of the hottest boys in school. I think the list goes thus...

1 Crescent, the headboy of the school, and the captain of the school's basketball team.

2 Lyall, my brother, the school's flirt, he has a lot of I*******m fans and he is the captain of the school's hockey team.

3 Jack, the high school sweetheart, he is the school's drama king, he could literally act to save his life.

And others, I don't really know their names, but they are all friends. Always taking attention whenever they pass by.
