Massimo’s POV.

I sat in the vehicle, sipping on a glass of whisky and smoking a cigarette. Rome drove, his eyes fixed on the road. We were headed to meet one of my close associates, someone who could help us uncover more about the bomb in our secret drug barn.

As we drove, I turned to Rome "Do you think this bomb was a warning?" I asked, my voice low. Rome's expression was thoughtful. "It's possible," he said. "But we need to be careful. We don't know who's behind this."

Just then, my phone buzzed. I glanced at the screen and saw a text from Isabel.

"The bomb might be linked to the Governor. Rosalia has some connection to him."

My expression changed, and Rome noticed.

"What's wrong?" he asked, his eyes narrowing. I took a deep breath before responding. "It's Isabel," I said, showing him the text. Rome's eyes scanned the message, his face grim.

"I always knew Rosalia had something going on that we don't know about," Rome said, his voice low. I nodded, feeling a sense of unease. Rosa

Ana’s POV. My phone hung up after a call. Martha looked at me with concern. "What's wrong, Ana? You look tense." I sighed, rubbing my temples. "I was just trying to reach Marco. He's supposed to run an errand for me today and deliver a file from you to Massimo's office."Her expression turned thoughtful. "Ah, yes. Marco's been helpful, hasn't he?" I nodded, still feeling a bit frustrated. Isabel, who was sitting with us, chimed in. "I don't know how you trust Marco that much, Ana. He's always causing drama." I smiled wryly. "I know, Isa. But he's been loyal so far."I was surprised to see Rosalia Hazelwood enter the building. It was a shock to me as our eyes collided. We sat down, discussing the recent events and how Rosalia's actions had affected us. "She’s been taking Massimo's attention away from us, ," Isabel said, her voice laced with annoyance. "And making him the topic of the day." Rosalia listened calmly, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "I've just been trying to get what

Massimo’s POV. I was arranging my guns behind my seat. I heard a knock on the door and turned immediately. I wouldn’t let an eye see who was in the door hole, my secrets remained with me."Who's there?" I inquired as I had my eyes fixed at the door. The handle rolled out as I heard a voice from the other side of the door. “Don, It’s me, Rome,” he replied and waited for my signal to come in. My heart which initially raced settled and I exhaled before sitting down. “Come in,” Rome walked in. He watched me closely and smiled wryly. "You’re pretending." I pretended to be doing something before he came in, but Rome knew better. He smiled at the whole drama."What's up, Rome?" I asked. “Hmm. Seems someone was trying to have his guns in check before he was being interrupted. Isn’t it?” “Hmm, and I think I’ll be taking things a bit farther than you think if the one who knocked wasn’t bearing the name ‘Romeo,’” I replied and we both gave ourselves a longing stare. “Aha?!” He said and w

Massimo’s POV. I turned around, and my eyes widened in shock. Rome had taken the shot, hitting Vladimir right between the eyes. I couldn't believe it. Vladimir, the guy who seemed so calm and collected, was now lying lifeless on the ground. I felt a mix of emotions - shock, relief, and a bit of guilt. Why hadn't I seen it coming?Rome entered the room, his face twisted in anger. "I told you, Massimo," he said, his voice firm. "I told you it wasn't safe to be alone with him." I looked at Rome, feeling a pang of regret. I should have listened to him.Rome's anger was directed at me, and I didn't blame him. I should have been more careful. "Rome, I'm sorry," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Rome's expression softened slightly, and he looked at me with a mix of concern and frustration. As we stood there, staring at Vladimir's corpse, I felt a wave of emotions wash over me. Vladimir was a threat, and Rome had taken him out. But still, I couldn't help but feel a bit shaken. Rome no

Massimo’s POV. I was so sure I would do more harm than good when I am exposed to someone of that nature. It was one of the most violent moments of my life. I entered the room and watched as they held him. He was already bleeding and I could tell Rome and the rest of the men in that room had given him the beating of his life. While I watched, he turned to see me on the other side of the room, he was reddened and I could tell he was going to die soon, even though he knew about this. “Come on Don, do your worst, you’ll have to finish me off instead, if you think I am going to give you listening ears, I don’t think there’s any reason standing there with the knife and watching me like an actual moron.” He said, his face shivering as she sat, chained to the wooden chair in the dark room.I chuckled. “Vladimir Sven, my good friend,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “He who stands before a king, must know how to take a bow,” He replied in a sneer and tried to convince me that h

Massimo’s POV. I felt utterly confused and frustrated. Just then, my phone rang. I checked and saw it was my sister, Vanessa. I couldn’t quite understand the meaning of such calls at that hour, even when she was closer to me at home. I picked it up immediately. “Massi, what’s good?” She said, Her voice is teasy and shallow. “Vanesa, what’s the problem?” I inquired, trying to understand her tone. I knew she was definitely up to something, but I couldn’t point my fingers at it. “Ouch, maybe I’ll just have to spill it out then. I think I’ll be joining Tracey and her sisters for the upcoming picnic to Spain,” "Vanessa, I don't think that's a good idea. You're still involved in our current mission, and I need you to stay focused," I said."Massimo, I need a break. I've been working non-stop for months, and I deserve some time off. Why are you always restricting me? It's like you don't trust me at all,"I sighed, feeling a headache coming on. "Vanessa, it's not about trust. It's about

Massimo’s POV. I sat in the living room, engaged in a phone call with Vasquez Caruna, Domenico’s cousin. As I wrapped up the conversation, one of the maids entered with a tray of coffee. She set it down in front of me and poured in the glass before turning to leave. My eyes followed her as she walked away, appreciating her elegance.Just then, Isabel caught my gaze and silently called out to me. "Brother? What are you doing?" she mouthed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. She gestured and looked away, quickly exiting the living room. I shook my head, disagreeing with her unspoken judgment.I sat to enjoy my coffee, savoring the rich aroma. Just as I took a sip, Ana walked into the living room. Her expression was moody, and I could tell something was bothering her. She sat down and tried to focus on the T.V for a few seconds before turning to capture my gaze which was fixed at her. "What's wrong?" I asked, concern etched on my face.Ana hesitated at first. “Nothing,” she mumbled an

Massimo’s POV. Rome and I drove to the grocery store, heading to a brief meeting with one of our associates. As we navigated through the traffic, Rome turned to me with a curious expression. "Massimo, I’m not so satisfied with the looks on your face, especially after the meeting with Hazelwood yesterday, what’s up, Don?"I glanced at him, intrigued. "What is it?"Rome's eyes were fixed on the road ahead. "What's going on between you two? What did you discuss in your last meeting?"I leaned back in my seat, recalling the conversation. "Rosalia wants something from me, but I'm not sure what it is yet. She's been trying to get close to me, but I don't want anything to do with her."Rome chuckled. "You're not the first person to have problems with her, Massimo. Some people might say getting rid of her would be the easiest solution."I shot him a warning look. "That's not an option, Rome. We need to handle this situation with finesse. Running away or hurting her would make us look like

Massimo’s POV. I walked down the corridor with Rome, all that filled my head was Rosalia and how to tackle her sack from the De Luca Company. I couldn’t bear seeing her everyday in the same place I come to relax my head. discussing Rosalia Hazelwood. "I hate her, Rome," I said, feeling frustrated. "She's always trying to lure me into having sex with her, but I'm not going to let that happen."Rome nodded in agreement. "We should get rid of her, Massimo. Maybe we can find a way to...you know, take care of her." He paused and smiled at me wryly. I shook my head. "No, that's not a good idea. We can't just kill her. But we need to do something to stop her from bothering me."Rome thought for a moment. "How about we kidnap her and take her to a faraway land? We can break her there, and she'll never bother you again."I considered Rome's idea. It wasn't going to be easy, but it might just work. "That's not a bad idea, Rome. But we'll need to be careful. We can't just grab her off the str
