Ana’s POV.

I sat in my room, staring at the fruits Martha had brought me. I usually love snacking on them, but today, I just couldn't seem to have an appetite. I picked up a slice of apple, but it felt heavy in my hand. I tried to take a bite, but the thought of eating made my stomach turn.

I put the fruit down and stood up, trying to shake off the feeling. Maybe some fresh air would help. I took a few steps, but my legs felt like jelly. I stumbled, and my hands started shaking. My face felt cold. I looked down at my hands, and they were trembling like leaves.

‘What's wrong with me?’

I thought. I'm not sick. I'm just stressed, maybe. But why am I feeling like this? I tried to take a few more steps, but my legs wouldn't cooperate. I felt like I was going to collapse.

‘Come on Ana, think.’

I muttered to myself, trying to make sense of what was happening. The recent killings and kidnappings had been weighing heavily on my mind. The tension between the Cosa Nostra and the other Mafia gro

Massimo’s POV. I sat in the living room, engaged in a phone call with Vasquez Caruna, Domenico’s cousin. As I wrapped up the conversation, one of the maids entered with a tray of coffee. She set it down in front of me and poured in the glass before turning to leave. My eyes followed her as she walked away, appreciating her elegance.Just then, Isabel caught my gaze and silently called out to me. "Brother? What are you doing?" she mouthed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. She gestured and looked away, quickly exiting the living room. I shook my head, disagreeing with her unspoken judgment.I sat to enjoy my coffee, savoring the rich aroma. Just as I took a sip, Ana walked into the living room. Her expression was moody, and I could tell something was bothering her. She sat down and tried to focus on the T.V for a few seconds before turning to capture my gaze which was fixed at her. "What's wrong?" I asked, concern etched on my face.Ana hesitated at first. “Nothing,” she mumbled an

Massimo’s POV. Rome and I drove to the grocery store, heading to a brief meeting with one of our associates. As we navigated through the traffic, Rome turned to me with a curious expression. "Massimo, I’m not so satisfied with the looks on your face, especially after the meeting with Hazelwood yesterday, what’s up, Don?"I glanced at him, intrigued. "What is it?"Rome's eyes were fixed on the road ahead. "What's going on between you two? What did you discuss in your last meeting?"I leaned back in my seat, recalling the conversation. "Rosalia wants something from me, but I'm not sure what it is yet. She's been trying to get close to me, but I don't want anything to do with her."Rome chuckled. "You're not the first person to have problems with her, Massimo. Some people might say getting rid of her would be the easiest solution."I shot him a warning look. "That's not an option, Rome. We need to handle this situation with finesse. Running away or hurting her would make us look like

Massimo’s POV. I walked down the corridor with Rome, all that filled my head was Rosalia and how to tackle her sack from the De Luca Company. I couldn’t bear seeing her everyday in the same place I come to relax my head. discussing Rosalia Hazelwood. "I hate her, Rome," I said, feeling frustrated. "She's always trying to lure me into having sex with her, but I'm not going to let that happen."Rome nodded in agreement. "We should get rid of her, Massimo. Maybe we can find a way to...you know, take care of her." He paused and smiled at me wryly. I shook my head. "No, that's not a good idea. We can't just kill her. But we need to do something to stop her from bothering me."Rome thought for a moment. "How about we kidnap her and take her to a faraway land? We can break her there, and she'll never bother you again."I considered Rome's idea. It wasn't going to be easy, but it might just work. "That's not a bad idea, Rome. But we'll need to be careful. We can't just grab her off the str

Vanesa’s POV. Veronica, my maiden person, stepped in to join me as we arranged some clothes, and I was trying to get everything perfect. As we worked, I felt bothered and tired to inquire if she’s seen my brother. "Hey, Veronica, have you seen Massi around lately?"Veronica thought for a moment before shaking her head. "No, my lady, I haven't."I nodded, going back to arranging the clothes. I noticed Veronica wasn't paying attention. She was staring at her phone, and I could tell she was distracted. I stopped what I was doing and turned to her. "Veronica, are you alright? You seem a bit spaced out."Veronica looked up, confused, and I could tell she was caught off guard. I scolded her, "Veronica, put that phone away and focus on what you're doing! If you don't, I'll give you a slap!"Veronica quickly put her phone away and apologized, "I'm sorry, my lady. It won't happen again."But I was still annoyed, "Just leave the clothes and go. I don't need your help anymore."Veronica quic

Ana’s POV My maid, Martha, entered with a tray of food. She placed it in front of me, trying to coax me into eating. "My lady, please try to eat something. You've refused food for days, and it's starting to worry me," she said softly.I didn't respond, my gaze fixed on the tray. The fruity tea and salad looked appealing, but I had no appetite. Martha stood facing me, concern etched on her face. "My lady, is anything the problem?" she asked gently.I couldn't bring myself to talk, my mind consumed by the tension between Massimo and me. The way he'd been treating me lately, the suspicion and distrust in his eyes, it was suffocating me. I pushed the food away, unable to bear the thought of eating.Martha noticed my gesture and seemed to understand that something was wrong. She was about to leave when I called out to her. "Martha, wait."She turned and sat beside me, her expression softening. "My lady, what's wrong? You've been distant lately, and I can see that something is bothering yo

Massimo’s POV. I sat with Rome, in the dimly lit room, sipping on a glass of whisky. The amber liquid seemed to match the mood that had been plaguing me lately. Rome and I sat in comfortable silence, each lost in our own thoughts.“I don’t think I’m feeling so comfortable here, Rome. Let’s go to the balcony.” “Alright, don.” We walked to the balcony, the cool night air a welcome respite from the tension that had been building up inside me. We sat down, and I offered Rome a glass of whisky, which he accepted with a nod. “Thanks boss,” As we sipped our drinks, Rome turned to me with a questioning look but I realized he couldn’t say a word. He looked at me and then went back to his drink consecutively. I wasn’t so sure he was going to hide that from me for a long time but it’s got to be now. I was moved to ask. “What’s wrong, Rome?” “Wrong? Nothing…” he replied. Feeling so reluctant but I knew something was still wrong. “Come on man. Speak to me. What’s happening,” He hesitated a

Isabel’s POV. I sat alone in my room, lost in thought. My mind kept wandering back to Rosalia Hazelwood and her involvement with my brother. ‘What was she really after? I wondered, my eyes fixed on the wall as I tried to piece together the puzzle."What does Rosalia want?" I asked myself, my voice barely above a whisper. "Is she still having feelings for Massimo, or has she moved on to something else?" The questions swirled in my head, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.I thought about Ana. What would she do in this situation? Would she know something about Rosalia's plans that I didn't? I sighed, feeling frustrated and unsure. As I sat there, I couldn't help but think about the last run-in Massimo had with Rosalia when they were dating. It was clear that Rosalia's goal was to cripple the Cosa Nostra, and I knew I had to stop her. But how?Just as I was deep in thought, my phone rang, breaking the silence. I hesitated for a moment, wondering who it could be.

Ana’s POV. I was lost in thought. My mind kept wandering back to what had almost happened downstairs. What if they had seen me? Would it have changed everything? I couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty. As I sat there, my eyes fixed on the wall, I heard a knock on the door. I turned, expecting it to be housekeeping with some fresh towels or linens. "Who is it?" I called out."Marco," a deep voice replied.‘Marco? I didn’t ask him to come upstairs, why would he even want to come into this room?’ I muttered as I stood to my feet and peered through the window to see if I had any signs of Enzo and Vanesa. “My lady?” He voiced and knocked for the second time. “Just a second Marco, I’m changing,” I replied. I wasn’t changing at all. I was just getting anxious about the whole drama and thought maybe I should hesitate for a while. I opened the door, and Marco stood there, his expression serious. "My lady, I’ve been trying to reach you on the phone since the past 10 minutes but y

Ana’s POVI picked up the phone and dialed Katerina's number, my mind still reeling from the scene I'd just witnessed. Rosalia was practically throwing herself at Massimo, and he didn't seem to be pushing her away. I shook my head, trying to clear it. ‘Why was I letting this get to me? I was his wife, after all.’ I muttered. My phone rang right away and I picked up without hesitation. It was a familiar voice and that of my sister. I felt a pang of guilt for calling her for a week now and that was the only thing which pierced me. I listened carefully to her as she called my name. "Ana, how are you?" she asked, her voice warm. "I'm fine, Katya," I replied, trying to sound calmer than I felt. "Just a little...frustrated."Katerina chuckled. "What's going on? Tell me everything."I took a deep breath and launched into a detailed account of Rosalia's antics and my own insecurities while Katerina listened.“It’s been more than hell for me in this place and I think I won't be staying he
