The call with Khaos lasted all of 30 seconds. Even in that brief moment, I could tell something had happened. He sounded monotone and dead inside - something I would expect with a background such as his, but he had always remained upbeat with me. All he would tell me was that he needed somewhere to stay for a while to clear his head. Of course, I said yes. He hung up soon after.

I wasn't in the mood for talking either, but Khaos had been a perfect excuse. Now I was left with an endless amount of time on my hands as Grace said goodbye to her father. As much as I had wanted to stay with her, I knew she needed her privacy at this moment.

My mind was reeling. I had been conditioned to believe that Grace had tried to seduce her father. I hadn't believed it at the time but when more and more evidence came to light, as well as Grace's silence, it was difficult to remain true to her. Now though, now I was seeing things in a whole different way
