Now today is the day a new Alpha is to be appointed.

The entire pack was buzzing with excitement.Every member of the pack is expected to be there.

Did I want to be there?

No.

But I had to be.

I got dressed ,gathered what pieces remained of me, followed my parents towards the hall where the new Alpha will be appointed.

Kenneth wasn’t the only candidate but everyone already knew the outcome. The other candidates were all staged to look like it was a competition.

Kenneth wore a smug look.

Alpha Gerald the outgoing Alpha stood on an elevated platform giving his speech.

“Leadership is not about dominance alone,” he declared “but the strength to carry forward the legacy of our bloodline………”

Then it happened.

A sudden shift in the air.

So sharp that it cut through the hall like a blade. It didn’t just feel like a chill, it was a force.

A force that sent shivers to the bones.

It silenced the murmurs.

It suppressed everyone.

Even Alpha Gerald had stopped talking mi

Ria’s POV When we got out of the car, Zari ran off immediately to go look for my mother. I hesitated, then let my feet carry me toward Rowan’s room. I didn’t knock,I never did. He didn’t mind anyway.“I didn’t see you at school,” I said quietly, wriggling my fingers together.“Hm.” He didn’t look up at first. “I had something to attend to,” he said, before glancing at me over his laptop.I bit my lip. “I didn’t mean to yell at you. I’m sorry.” My voice was softer now, I pouted, hoping he would forgive me quickly.“It’s okay,” Rowan said simply. He closed the laptop and stood, walking toward me. “You were in your feelings.” A small smirk tugged at his lips, the kind that always made me roll my eyes but secretly comforted me.He stopped right in front of me, steady as ever. “You should go speak with your father. The old man is worried.”“Okay.” My answer was small, but I meant it.I wrapped my arms around him, and he hugged me back without hesitation. For all his quietness, Rowan nev

  • THE LYCAN’S OMEGA   Chapter Sixty-Two

Katherine’s POV For the next few days, Ria shut herself out. She wouldn’t talk to Reign, not even a glance in his direction. It hurt him. I knew it did but still, he stood on his decision. It became a silent battle between father and daughter. She wouldn’t tell him goodbye like she used to before leaving for school. She barely touched her food at breakfast, just so she wouldn’t have to sit across from him. Every morning, Reign lingered at the window, his broad frame tense, watching as the car pulled away. The air in the house grew heavy, suffocating. His mood was dark, heavy, and I felt it in every corner of our home. Rowan and I could only watch the distance grow. Today was no different. Ria was already seated in the car, arms folded tight across her chest, waiting for Rowan to join her. Reign stood at the window again, fists clenched, jaw locked. “Is the goddamn party so important?” he hissed, dragging a hand through his hair in frustration. “She’s suffocating, Reign,” I whi

  • THE LYCAN’S OMEGA   Chapter Sixty-One

Reign’s POV When Ria had pointed behind her, I felt it,the presence was so ancient, so mighty, it clawed at my instincts. Not a wolf. Something else. My eyes had dropped to the necklace on her chest, Whoever had returned her… wasn’t ordinary and didn’t know what she was. My mind was spiraling. Thinking of possible reasons why the creature had brought her back to us. But when she called me Papa and opened her arms to me, all that mattered was that she was safe. And the guilt, gods, the guilt dug into me. I had been away. Always away. Busy with meetings, with work. I should have been here. I should have been with them. They were mine to protect. I sat in silence while Katherine fed her. My mate’s hands shook slightly as she cradled Ria, still scared from the thought of almost losing her. When Rowan entered, I saw the guilt in his small eyes, and it broke something in me. My son thought it was his fault. It wasn’t, it is your father’s fault for failing to put you both firs

  • THE LYCAN’S OMEGA   Chapter Sixty

Unknown POV I had wandered into human territory, trying to disappear among them. For centuries I had carried the weight of cursed blood, the pain, the endless whispers of family feud death and betrayal. Tonight, I wanted none of it. Tonight was one of the nights the curse would rip through my veins, the night when I was at my weakest. I always hid myself away during these hours, far from any one who could use my pain against me. Far from their reach, I couldn’t trust anyone. Not even my clan. But fate had its cruel humor. A felt a little tug on my coat. I looked down. A small girl stood there, clutching a doll to her chest. Her eyes were wide, too bright. Wolf. Lycan. “Home,” she said, pouting. Her voice was fragile, shaking, but clear. “I want mama.” Tears brimmed in her little eyes. I narrowed mine. A pup. She smelled of Lycan blood, powerful and untainted. Yet she was lost, just like me. I turned and walked away. I had no time for this. But soft steps followed, her

Katherine’s POV ****Three years later**** After the pups turned one, Reign had an emergency in his company back in the human territory, one that demanded his presence. Just like that, we were gone. I barely had time to say my goodbyes. I hugged my parents, promised we would visit often, but it’s been two years now and we haven’t gone back. Reign has been busy, too busy. He’s hardly home. Zeke came with us, of course, bringing Felicia along. She had just given birth then and he would never have left her behind. She finally made up her mind about having a pup. Reign’s mansion here in Country A was massive, even larger than the one he first brought me to. But it became home, because he was here, and because our children filled it with laughter. That afternoon, I sat in the garden with Felicia. The air was warm, and we talked while the children played. Ria chased after Zariah, Felicia and Zeke’s daughter, their giggles ringing out like music. Rowan was different. At only three y

  • THE LYCAN’S OMEGA   Chapter Fifty-Eight

Reign’s POVThe pups were almost a year old. Katherine had talked me into sending them to the pups academy in the pack even though my beast bristled at the thought. She said it was good for their growth, that they needed independence. I hated them being far but for her, I accepted. She had gone to drop them this morning and returned to training. She had resumed training, she said she needed to be strong, ready to protect her pups. Now she stood in the open court, sparring with Zeke, while a heavily pregnant Felicia watched from the side. When the training ended, Katherine ran up to me,where I leaned on the rail watching, cheeks flushed and eyes bright. My gaze softened as she approached.“I still got it, right?” she asked with a smile.I hummed low, indulgent. “Hmm. You do.”I patted her hair. We walked back to our room. Her life now revolved around our pups, their needs, their future.Once, she had dreamed of being a Gamma for the pack. Fate had shifted her path suddenly, but she ha
