CHAPTER TWO

LIRA

I closed my eyes, ready for the incoming assault, a lone tear rolled down my cheeks. How stupid was I to think that my so-called husband was going to just let me be.....

My eyes were closed until I heard a mocking chuckle. Forcing my eyes open, I saw the man who was still hovering over me.

He had a sarcastic smile on his face, and he was supporting himself by placing one hand firmly on the bed.

At that moment, I couldn't help but admire how handsome he looked.

My heart skipped a beat as I continued to watch his face.

I did not dare to look at his face too much at the wedding because I was scared, but late at night, with him hovering above me like this.....

He suddenly grabbed my shoulder, pulling me up with him, and shattering all of my fantasies about him.

He forced me to stand up in front of him, a menacing look on his face.

I was naked, with only my panties on me, and I quickly covered my breasts.

His expression was tight, and Sebastian looked as if he was suppressing something.

When he saw that I was watching him, he sneered, a mocking look on his face.

"What are you pretending for? When you decided to go through with this marriage....didn't you already know what to expect, Sophia? What did your grandfather tell you when he sent you here to be my wife? " His voice was filled with hate and bitterness.

But who did he hate so much? The woman called Sophia?

But why did he get married to her if he hated her so much?

I had so many questions in my mind, I had no idea if I was supposed to ask those questions at all.

"After all the things your grandfather did, I bet he never thought that he'd have to use his favourite granddaughter to make up for his sins of the past, right?" A cruel smile rested on Sebastian's face, as he looked at me.

It was obvious that he was enjoying doing this to me, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for that Sophia woman, whoever she was.

What did she do for this man to hate her this much?

"I...."

I finally thought of a defense after being speechless for a while, but he just grabbed my hand and pulled it away from my breasts.

His gaze lingered a bit too long on my breasts, and I saw him smack his lips as his eyes studied them.

Sebastian's eyes were heavy, and I could see the interest in his eyes as he stared at me.

His fiery and passionate gaze was lighting up a fire inside of me, and I had no idea if I wanted to resist him.

It was the first time I was standing naked in front of a man, and it left me feeling lost.

He was my husband....if he wanted to do that.....I had no way of stopping him right?

"Strip," his voice was cold and straight to the point.

"What?" I blinked my eyes, as I tried to make sense of what he had just said to me.

"Strip! Are you deaf?" He barked at me.

I had no idea what I was supposed to strip. I was only in my panties.

When my eyes met his, his gaze made it clear what he wanted.

I shook my head firmly! No way I was going to do that!

"I...."

"Do you think that you get a choice here, Sophia? From the day your grandfather decided to get you married to me, you already belonged to me. If I tell you to strip, you have no other choice but to strip!" He yelled at me.

Sebastian's eyes were fierce, and he clearly just wanted to hurt me.

Once I stripped completely, it was obvious what would come next.

Even though I had been thrown to the wolves, I still wanted to hold onto whatever was left of my dignity!

I shook my head, with bitter tears rolling down my cheeks.

Sebastian scoffed at me, "you should know that your family is only hanging by a thread right now, Sophia. If you don't do as I'm asking, your grandfather...." He didn't complete his words, but it was obvious that it was a threat.

I didn't have a grandfather, but I had a grandmother who was currently in the hands of my kidnapper.

If I didn't do what Sebastian said and he got mad, my grandmother would still have to suffer in that person's hands, right?

It wasn't hard to connect the dots.

I closed my eyes, as my hands pinched at my panties.

I didn't want to see the look of enjoyment on his face as he forced me to do this!

With my heart sinking into my stomach, I pulled off my panties as gently as possible.

I tried to drop it on the floor, but a strong hand grabbed it away from me.

Forcing my eyes to open, I saw Sebastian hold my panties to his face, and sniffed it, with a hungry look on his face.

For a few seconds, my mind blanked, as I had no idea what to make of this.

I forgot the fact that he was making me suffer on purpose, and just looked at the man sniffing at my panties hungrily.

Heat flooded through me, and my heart skipped a beat as I watched him.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open and I froze, unsure of what to do.

I was standing completely naked in front of my husband, and his gaze on me was fierce, as if I had just done something horrendous.

He stood up from the bed, and my limbs froze. What did he want to do?

Sebastian approached me with a calculating look on his face, and I subconsciously tried to shift away from him.

My body refused to listen to me though, and I found myself stuck to the ground.

Sebastian stopped right in front of me, his face inching closer to mine with every breath that he took.

With a sneer, he grabbed my arm and pushed me out of the way.

My body fell freely, and I landed on the bed.

Almost immediately, I dove under the covers, making sure to hide my body under the large sheets

Sebastian stood above me, the disparity between us was clearer to me than ever, "Do you think I'll ever be interested in a woman like you?" He mocked me.

Taking a deep breath, I forced myself to meet his gaze.

"Since you don't want this marriage, let's get a divorce!”

I no longer cared for Isabelle who was looking around, confused. "Find her! Make sure that you find her! Didn't I ask you to keep an eye on her?" I barked at the maid. Kiara was my life. If something really happened to my daughter, then I really didn't know how I would be able to live on! "I...I was watching her , then she said she wanted to get some snacks from the buffet and then I...I...just lost sight of her!" The maid cried pitifully as she said this. I badly wanted to lose my temper at her, but I could see that she was scared enough. And besides, Kiara was the only person I could think of right now. "Alright, calm down, there are so many people here today and I am sure there she won't have disappeared. We should split up and look for her , I am sure we will find her in no time!" Isabelle comforted me. "What does she look li

The eyes of all of that guests followed me, as they tried to guess who I was, but I didn't say anything to anyone of them. I was the star of the night, and I was now above all of those people. Over the years, my father had grilled into me that I had to show people there I was in charge, or else, I would be trampled on and taken advantage of in a world like this! As I made my way through the dense crowds, someone walked up to me, with a glass of wine in her hand to toast me. She was not tyr first person to do this tonight, and I would usually ignore whoever tried to speak to me since my father had not officially introduced me. However, I couldn't bring myself to make any moves when I saw her face. "Hello, Miss Fiona. I never thought that I'd see you here," Isabelle said, a smile on her face. I smiled too when I heard her words, I would never believe

I could still remember how beautiful she looked wearing that necklace! After Lira went missing, Isabelle decided that it would be a good idea to mass produce it and put it on the seemarket. I had too much going on there, and I didn't really care about what Isabelle had been doing. I felt disgust for me, but the woman, on her part, had a bashful smile on her face as if she was pleased with herself. The heck?!"What do you mean, Sebastian?" CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOURSEBASTIAN I walked into the large hall that was bustling with people with Isabelle hanging on my arms..Dante, as well, as a few of my guards were behind me. There was no way that I would come to such a high profile event all on my own. Besides Dante and the guards who had entered with me, they were also hidden guards in the room, ready to jump in to protect me whenever there was a chance. All eyes were on me as I made it through the room with my sister , and I could hear people whispering about me. I didn't care to listen to what they were saying to me, but their blantant gazes were starting to get annoying. "Look at all of those people looking at you. I am sure that all of the women here are planning on how to throw themselves at you. After all, it's basically impossible to see you on a normal day," Isabelle teased me with a smile on my face ."Heh," I gave a short snort. None of these mattered to me..I knew that the women who were interested in

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREELIRAI looked at the well decorated hall, and I sighed deeply. Five years ago, I had been exposed to this life, however, I always felt like an imposter since I was living with someone's identity. Now, I was back to this place. I had my own father, as well as my own identity, however, I still felt like she was an imposter. Someone who was living a lie. I was no longer Lira, but now Fiona, the woman who had been through hell, the woman who lost her face, her eyesight, and almost her child. The woman who was now here for revenge. Everything had changed in the past five years, and I felt like she could no longer remember the person that I was in the past. It seemed that in the distant past, I was someone who just wanted to live a simple life, now, revenge was the only thing I seemed to think of. Revenge...and the wellbeing of my daughter. "What are you thinking about?" I turned sharply when I heard that familiar voice. It was my father, Jules. I si
