CHAPTER 2
Another clan members known as the Vikings were all on their spot, their eyes scanning the place waiting for the arrival of the blood moon. Soon, a power bike driven by Sin was leading in with their car following it, and Aurelio's power bike behind them.
“We've been waiting for you," a member of the Vikings said. The blood moon chose not to reply as Tessa and Rhodes walked towards them with the money, while the other member handed them their goods which they tested to be true. They successfully made the exchange, but soon, sounds of gunshots erupted around the place, signaling the start of chaos.
The blood moon immediately took their cover as they turned to see the Vikings also shooting at them, but they weren't alone. Raven's eyes just joined them, and they were shooting endlessly at the blood moon.
“Boss, what should we do?" Gael asked, shooting back at them. Melissa was also shooting her arrows at them non stop, while Rhodes and Tessa were shooting as well, trying to protect the goods.
“Rhodes and Tessa, take the goods and go back to the clan", Aurelio ordered as he came out of his cover and started to shoot at them while dodging every bullet that flew his way.
Rhodes and Tessa got into the car as a hot chase between the Vikings and them began.
“Here, take the wheels", Rhodes said, handing Tessa the wheels as he got his own gun and shot at their tires, busting them. Tessa, being a crazy stunt driver, managed to escape. By now, almost all the Vikings were dead, but the Raven's eyes were still increasing.
“I think someone told on us," Sin said, dropping his gun, which had run out of bullets as he started exchanging numerous fists with them. Aurelio was equally fighting hard. He punched a person right in the jaw as he sent his teeth flying out.
Since Aurelio was their target, he started running, and most of them gave chase.
“There is no escape for you today, Aurelio” a member said, as they kept chasing him madly, shooting at him.
Aurelio kept dodging each bullet until most of them ran out of ammunition and threw their guns down. He then charged towards them, as hot combat started between them. Aurelio sent countless fists on them. They tried fighting back but were no match for Aurelio.
---
“Give me a cover," Viola told Gretna, as she started breaking each of their bones. Gretna was also shooting at them.
“Where's the boss?" Melissa, who was now fistfighting with them, asked Sin, who was also fighting.
“ I have no idea,"
“Guys retreat," Radar, the right-hand man to the don of the Raven's Eyes, said, when he saw all his members were dying. They got into their cars and drove off.
“Has anyone seen boss?" Viola asked.
---
“In reality, there's no escape for you guys today," Aurelio said, succeeding in defeating them in combat, as they were all groaning in pain.
“You think spying on the devil will bring me down?" he said in a tone that spoke of danger.
He slowly dipped his hand into his pocket, his fingers swirling around a mini-circle-like object shaped like a bomb. He brought out the object and his eyes showed pleasure when he saw the fear in their eyes.
“Ci vediamo all'inferno (see you in hell)” he said, in his Italian accent, setting the bomb to five-second timer.
He was able to leave the place when the bomb exploded. He got back and saw the members waiting for him. He got onto his bike and, without saying a thing, he drove off.
“That jerk," Sin cursed under his breath.
“How are we going to get back?" Gretna asked, and at that instant, a car sent from the clan pulled up in front of them.
****A ROOM****
Snow's eyelids were raised a little bit and closed back again. It had been two days since she passed out. Her eyelids fluttered open to witness a dimly lit room where shadows danced ominously on the wall. There were no windows in the room, and her body was filled with sweat as a result of the room's temperature.
The room she was kept in was torture itself, due to the changing temperature, from hot to cold. It felt like her skin was on fire, because the room was now very hot.
“Ahh!!!," She screamed, as a result of the darkness, unable to see a thing. For a moment, she feared she was dead but waved the thoughts off when the door creaked open, and a guard walked in carrying food and water. She dispelled the dark thoughts and shifted back in fear.
“Here, second boss's orders," he placed it on the floor for her and left, locking the door, while she began crying. She just didn't understand why they brought her here. What wrong had she and her mom done? She cried harder, remembering how bringing her here had changed her life.
****FLASHBACK****
“Mum, I'm off for my internship. I love you," Snow said, pecking her mom's cheek.
“When are you going to stop dressing like that?" her mum asked. The truth was, her dressing had always caused a lot of people to talk, but she didn't really care, not when her dream mattered the most to her.
“When I become a professional medical doctor," she replied, smiling cutely.
She was a graduate with a doctorate degree. She was now an intern in a hospital and planned on furthering her studies in Miami after her one-year internship.
“How about getting your eye surgery done?” Her mom adjusted her glasses for her.
“I won't until I've made you very proud," she smiled.
“I'm already very proud of you," they shared a hug.
“Okay mum, I have to go, else I'll be late" she said, picking up her bag.
“Here, eat this one”. Her mum scooped up the food, Snow made faces before eating it and then she left. That was her mum, always treating her like a little girl.
****REALITY****
Returning from her internship to meet her mom held at gunpoint was the scariest thing ever, and when she tried to inquire what the reason was, she was brought here.
“No, I have to escape from here. I can't possibly die here. My mum must be so worried about me, she can't survive without me" she thought, as she removed her glasses and wiped the tears off her eyes.
She was already shivering, as the room's temperature was now cold. With a determined look and being so intelligent, she was able to locate the door with ease.
She placed her ear in the door, but she couldn't hear any noises. Her instincts told her that they weren't there. She tried opening the door but found it locked. She got her hairpin from her hair and unlocked the door.
She peeked out and saw no one. With a heavy heart, she picked up her feet and started running, running with no destination. She knew there was no stopping. That was it, she was running with everything in her. A thin layer of sweat covered the nape of her skin, her guts were wrenching, and her heart was pounding really fast.
She was having trouble with her skirt, but that didn't stop her. She knew once she got caught, she wouldn't be spared. She came across some guards who were walking around, and she was fast to hide, but the guards heard a noise.
“Who's there?" one of them asked.
Seeing they were coming to check out the noise, she immediately hid behind a big pillar, using her hair to cover her face.
“I don't think anyone is there" The other guard said, and they left.
She came out of her hiding, making sure they had gone away. Her feet slapped the concrete floor, carrying her to a place that looked like an exit, but that wasn't the exit. She fell as a result of the skirt, but kept running. She stumbled on something and fell again, but didn't bother to check the thing, as she kept running. Her hands and knees were bruised already, and were hurting a lot, coupled with the last injuries that were left untreated, but she didn't mind.
Her ponytail rose behind her as she ran. She had to escape. She came out of that side and saw some people standing at another gate. Her feet nearly slipped from beneath her before she paused and held her breath, thinking they'd be able to hear her breath.
She picked up a metal thing she didn't know what it was called and threw it, causing a big distraction, as they went to check where the noise came from, thinking someone might have broken in.
Focusing on the gate ahead of her, she sprinted quicker till she got to the Metallic gate but found it locked. She knew they'd come back soon. The gate was a little bit high, and someone like her could fit under it due to her small stature.
She laid on her back and kept pushing herself forward till she finally came out of the clan. She looked back and kept running, checking if they were after her. As soon as she turned, she saw a bike that almost hit her, but the driver was quick to step on the brakes. She fell hardly on the ground, hurting herself, as a loud cry and scream left her voice.
“Ahhhh!!!!!!!"
The driver of the bike slowly took off his helmet, and it turned out to be the devil.
Aurelio.
CHAPTER 84**SEVEN YEARS LATER**"Slow down Emily," Snow ran after five-year-old Emily. They both ran around De Luca's estate in America. After Snow's pregnancy, they went to Aurelio's private house in Italy with the clan. They had one last talk with Aurelio, setting them free to go and live their lives. He and Snow traveled to America a few days after the last talk, and they resided there. They started a new life. Aurelio was now the most successful hotelier in America. It had become the biggest hotel in America. He fulfilled his dreams and, as of Snow, she completed her master’s degree four years ago and has been working in Doctor Edwards' hospital.Doctor Edward and his family were based in America, so Snow joined his hospital immediately after completing her studies. Her dreams of being the world's best doctor had finally been fulfilled, though she's yet to have her hospital."Got you," Snow hugged Emily, before lifting her in her arms.Emily flipped her hair before looking at Sno
CHAPTER 83Lord Venom tried to shift his weight, but before he could react, the blade flashed, slicing off both his legs. His ear-splitting scream tore through the silent night as his body went in half. His blood pooled beneath him."Those are for my father," Aurelio said and slashed his one hand."That is for my mother." Lord Venom screamed, agonized in pain.Sin collected the sword from Aurelio and buried the sword deep in his other shoulder."For my mother."Snow snatched the sword from Sin and separated his head from his body."For betraying my mother," she muttered, eyes cold and distant as he dropped dead.Paige dived the knife she was holding deep into Godzilla's chest."Argh!" he groaned painfully as his life slowly slipped away from him.Aurelio sharply turned to Selene, who was still on her knees as a result of the stab."No... Aurelio...you can't kill me... Aurelio...you..." Bang.A bullet left his gun straight into her forehead as she dropped dead.Marcelo's eyes darkened
CHAPTER 82"He is here."Godfather Marcelo made that statement and what followed was gunfire...sharp, deafening, cutting through the night like a blade.Godzilla's men were slumping into the pool as the gunshot struck their bodies. They started shooting in every direction since they couldn't see who was shooting.Gunpowder filled the place and in no time, they succeeded in killing all of them, including the captain.Selene, Marcelo, Venom and Godzilla clutched their guns tightly, waiting for them."Show your faces, you coward!" Selene yelled, looking around. What followed was a hard kick to her hand. The gun fell from her hand. She went face to face with Snow, who had a cold expression on her face."You!" Selene seethed and tried to punch her.Snow caught her hand midair and sent a kick to her stomach. She went down on her knees, wrapping her hand around her stomach. Before Lord Venom could react, Aurelio kneed him from behind...he dropped to his knees as his gun slipped down his finge
CHAPTER 81**AURELIO'S HOUSE**"Boss, we have no idea where they are," Rhodes said after they connected the airpod. They were in Aurelio's computer room."Have you checked all the places mentioned?" Aurelio asked."Yes, boss," Sin slammed his fist on the table."I know we shouldn't have trusted him," he said."How are we going to save them now?" Tessa mumbled.Aurelio faced them. "Godfather Marcelo didn't lie to us. They are somewhere near the place. We just haven't figured it out,""Time is running out of our hands, Aurelio. We have no idea how they are doing. What if... What if they are not even in America?" Snow asked.Aurelio didn't reply as Godfather Marcelo's words echoed in his head again."Store, water, radio station, trees.""An island," Aurelio suddenly said. The members looked at him with a raised brow."They are being hidden on an island. It is surrounded by a store, water, a radio station and there are trees. We have to look for an island that has all these things," Aurel
CHAPTER 80**COMPUTER ROOM**Mykel's fingers worked on the keyboard as he tried to track their location, but it proved abortive."We have to do something, Aurelio. They might hurt them," Snow said, pacing around.Aurelio held her hand. "Nothing will happen to them, I promise," he said."If I get my hands on them, I won't—""This isn't the time to start," Sin cut her off, taking his gaze back to Mykel."Any luck?" Sin asked.Mykel nodded negatively."It's pointless, we'd never be able to track their location. Marcelo wouldn't be stupid enough. Mykel, book a ticket for Rhodes, Gael, Ava and Ashley," Aurelio said."On it," Mykel said."I also want to go with them. It's my mom we are talking about," Snow said."They kidnapped Shane, Mia and your mother, what makes you think you won't be kidnapped as well? He does not want to harm them. They want something," Aurelio said and picked up his phone from the drawer. He placed a call to Godfather Marcelo and on the third ring, he answered. It was
CHAPTER 79**COSA NOSTRA**Murmurs rented the house as they all spoke about Aurelio's destroying the contract.Godfather Marcelo was the one who informed them. They didn't want to believe the news until Aurelio himself came and made it clear to them.Although they were tense, the house was still scented with cigarettes, tobacco and so many hard drugs. Some were even discussing their next shipment.Cold steps stepped in, and they focused their gaze on the entrance.Sin walked in with Aurelio behind him.The mafia men all stood and bowed in respect to Aurelio.A gentle nod from Aurelio was all it took and they sat down.Aurelio took the stage, while Sin stood by the side. The mafia men's attention was on Aurelio.Ever since he became their leader, he had never stood on the stage to address them.In fact, he had never said a word in any of the meetings, but today, he was standing on the stage, looking at those impatiently waiting men."Surprised?" Aurelio asked. They stayed silent but onl
