LOGINRoom 72.
Yukihira Condominium. That’s what was written on the parcel’s shipping label. It was a pretty large box, but the contents weren’t heavy at all. I thought I could just leave it with the security guard, but the customer gave me the exact same instructions as before. He said I had to deliver it straight to his door. I just needed to inform the guard and show him the parcel so I could enter the condominium building. This situation feels really familiar. I just shook my head, following the customer's orders. Besides, I didn't have a choice since this was Cash on Delivery, so I couldn't just leave it with the guard. Doing as the customer asked, I went to the guardhouse to show him the order. He then escorted me to the elevator, just like last time. He told me Room 72 was on the 9th floor, so I pressed the button for the 9th floor in the elevator. Once I reached the floor, I immediately looked for the right room. When I found it, I called the customer right away. "Boss, I'm here outside your room," I reminded him. "Okay," he replied curtly in a cold voice. I looked at my phone as the call ended. Why did his voice sound so familiar? I looked at the shipping label again; it said Alejandro Angeles. Hmm... I don't even know this guy, so I just shook my head. When the door opened, I froze as I recognized the man who opened it. Our eyes met, and I caught the look of surprise in his—it was none other than the guy I got into a fistfight with yesterday. My former classmate who acted like he didn't even know me—Juan. So that's why his voice sounded familiar. I met his blue eyes, noticing his brief surprise quickly turn into annoyance. He raised an eyebrow. "You again?" he asked rudely. Shouldn't I be the one asking that? I narrowed my eyes at him. "If you don't want to see me here, stop placing orders," I snapped while taking a picture of the parcel in front of him. "Also..." I looked at the room number again. "Didn't you use to be in Room 50? Why are you in a different room now?" I asked in confusion. "I own this entire condominium, so I can switch rooms whenever I want," he replied with his arms crossed, as if shoving it in my face that I would never experience a life like that. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his response. Fine, you're the rich one. I also noticed he was bundled up heavily. He was wearing an oversized jacket with the hood pulled over his head. I noticed his face was flushed, and though his eyes were deep, they looked completely sluggish. Suddenly, I remembered what I overheard from Cassandra and Aussie earlier about him not feeling well. Was that actually true? I handed him the box I was holding. "That would be 8,378," I said after he took the box. From the pocket of his hoodie jacket, he pulled out his wallet. I sneaked a peek inside, and aside from a lot of cash, I noticed various black cards. Wow, besides having a lot of money, having black cards is totally my dream too. Nothing much, they just look cool, plus you get unlimited money, right? "I thought you were playing a basketball game in the PBA today," I suddenly blurted out while he was counting money from his wallet. He paused as he pulled out the cash. "Can't you see I'm standing right in front of you?" he said sarcastically. My mouth fell open. Even now, I still couldn't believe that the guy I used to boss around had grown into someone with such a sharp tongue. I raised an eyebrow. “I just saw you playing on TV earlier, that’s all,” I said defensively. I saw him clench his jaw. "Idiot, what you saw was just a replay. I played yesterday, dumbass." I gritted my teeth. Wow, how could he call me a dumbass when he didn't even play that well himself? "Oh, so that's why you couldn't make a single shot. Your brain was probably still dizzy from my punch," I fired back. He suddenly froze at my remark and threw a glare my way. Oh, I am really loving his reaction right now. Backfired on you, bro. The corner of my lips tugged upward. "Ah, was it not because of that? Or was it really because of your insomnia?" I added, acting innocent while directly hitting his pride. He gritted his teeth, and I saw his grip tighten on his wallet. My main goal right now was to get back at this guy. Calling me an idiot? Hell no, I won't let that slide! "How did you know about my insomnia?" "Idiot, I just heard it around. Didn't you know you're famous?" I said bluntly. See? I got him back for calling me an idiot earlier. I saw his jaw tighten, looking like he was holding back. So, I held out my hand in front of him—a sign that I was asking for the payment for the parcel. He slammed the money into my palm. "Keep the change." I counted the money first. He’d given me ten thousand—way more than the actual price. He was already about to shut the door when I stopped him. "Wait!" He glared at me, frowning. "What?" "This is too much." I handed him a thousand-peso bill, but he just stared at it. "I said keep the change," he said coldly. Left with no other choice, I just pocketed it—hey, money is money. As proud as I am, my pride will never reject cash, period. "Satisfied?" he asked sarcastically, grating on my nerves. I crossed my arms. "You know, it feels a bit embarrassing to take your money without doing anything for you." "All you have to do is get out of my face," he said with a stern voice. I shook my head and raised my fist. "How about this? You want some?" You know, this is exactly what I wanted to do the moment I saw you. He gritted his teeth at my suggestion. I saw his jaw clench, and I also noticed the redness on his face getting worse, almost like he was wearing blush. He grabbed his head. "Are you fucking messing with me?!" he barked at me. I shrugged and looked at him seriously. "Not really, I'm just offering some goodwill." "Fuck—" He stopped mid-curse when he suddenly leaned heavily against the door. I was puzzled because he was acting like he was getting dizzy. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" I grabbed his shoulder. "I haven't even punched you yet, and you're already dizzy." To my shock, he suddenly collapsed and slumped against me. Holy shit. It actually looked like he passed out. I saw him drop the wallet he was holding, so instead of supporting him, I chose to catch his wallet first. That's just how it is—money first. Because of that, he collapsed right onto the floor of his condo. My eyes widened. He actually lost consciousness. Shit, now this asshole became my responsibility. I crouched down and poked his side, but he didn't wake up at all. He really did faint; maybe what Cassandra and the others said earlier was true—the guy really wasn't feeling well. That's probably why his face was so red. With no other choice, I carefully dragged him inside. He was heavier than I expected, and getting him through the doorway was a struggle. Thankfully, I was strong enough to pull him along by the arm. Once we finally reached his bedroom, I managed to get him onto the bed. I was just about to lower him properly onto the mattress when his weight suddenly shifted. Before I could react, I lost my balance and tumbled onto the bed with him. “Whoa—!” I landed awkwardly, barely having time to steady myself before I realized he was lying across me. I immediately tried to push him away, but then his hands suddenly clamped around both of my shoulders. I froze. Wait. His eyes were open. He was awake! I met his gaze, and to my absolute shock, his ocean blue eyes had turned a crimson red, so vivid it almost blinded me. "Hey," I pushed him with all my strength, but he wouldn't budge. He was insanely heavy and strong. "Get off of me!" I yelled at him, but all he did was stare at me. I gasped as he suddenly pressed his lips to the side of my neck. Shit, what is this guy doing? Fuck! I tried to push him off again, but he only pinned me down heavier. I felt his lips continually kissing my neck, even lightly biting it. Fuck my life! "What is this smell?" I heard him speak in a low, cold voice. "Dammit, it's so addicting," he rasped. He nuzzled his face even deeper into my neck. I tried to kick him, but he wouldn't budge. He was ridiculously strong. I froze when realization struck me—wait? Is he in rut right now? Fuck, please no... But my prayers went unanswered as I suddenly caught a strong, overwhelming, and thick scent spreading through the air. It smelled like a mix of cedar and honey, a clash between sweet and dominant scents. I suddenly felt weak as he unleashed a heavy dose of pheromones, draining the rest of my strength. Shit! "Stop doing that!" I snapped at him, pushing against his chest, but he refused to back off. He released even more pheromones while his lips kept trailing kisses from my jawline down to my neck. Fuck, I feel like I'm the one about to pass out. I flinched as I felt his lips near the base of my ear, groaning as he suddenly bit it. Damn it! "Fuck, you smell so good." I gritted my teeth. The moment I get out of this, I am seriously going to kill this guy. "Stop it!" I yelled again. He suddenly raised his gaze, our eyes locking. His eyes were still the same—crimson red, just like a vampire. Maybe he really was a vampire, considering he was biting me. I held onto my ear, staring into his intense, deep eyes that were completely consumed with... desire. And I went completely rigid at the next words that left his lips... “You are mine.” I froze, completely stunned by the words that had just come out of his mouth. For a moment, I could only stare at him, wondering if I had heard him correctly. Damn it! What the hell was wrong with this asshole?"Stay on the floor. I'm taking a shower first," I ordered him as we stepped into my room on the second floor.I didn't actually rent the entire apartment, just a single room. It was a modest two story building with three rooms on each floor. My room was small and barely furnished. It had only a single bed, a study table tucked into the corner, and a small wardrobe where I kept my modest collection of clothes.I caught Helios scanning the room with his eyes.Shaking my head, I turned my back on him, grabbed a towel, and picked out a fresh set of clothes from the closet. The disparaging comments those guys made earlier, especially Yuan’s remark about my place, suddenly flashed through my mind. But honestly, I couldn't care less about what Helios thought of it either. I hadn't asked him to come in. He chose to come here on his own, so he could just deal with it.I went downstairs to my private bathroom and took a shower. A few minutes later, I finished up and changed into my sleepwear, a
"Helios?" I blurted out his name in utter disbelief.I couldn't believe that the guy who mess with my mind last night was standing right in front of me—right in front of my apartment. The corner of his lips was tilted upward, carrying an amused glint as he witnessed the sheer confusion etched on my face."What are you doing here?" I asked, bewildered, my voice sounding rather annoyed. Out of all the things that could ruin my already ruined day, it had to be this bastard who's also a headache."Why? Do I no longer have the right to visit my other half?" he replied, giving me a meaningful look.I narrowed my eyes at him. "I'm not joking around with you, asshole," I hissed at him. "Are you stalking me?" I asked while furrowing my brow.He ran a hand through his hair, and I didn't know why, but when he did that, I felt a strange sensation in my stomach. Under the moonlight, I saw a strange glint in his eyes."Yeah, I'm stalking you," he said, giving me a cheeky grin.I gritted my teeth an
"What?!" I uttered, completely unable to believe him. What was this bastard even talking about? Did the lack of oxygen to his brain from when I choked him earlier mess with his mind? The corner of his lips tugged upward. "Yeah, so I can make full use of your services. I'm paying you a pretty high salary, after all," he said, giving a light shrug.I narrowed my eyes at him. "You bastard! Do you feel like what I did to you earlier wasn't enough? Do you want me to use a rope around your neck next time?" I threatened him."Neo, why are you so against living with me? Remember, you are my personal assistant and I am the one paying your debts, so you should follow whatever I tell you to do," he said in a serious tone, completely devoid of any sarcasm, as if he genuinely expected me to obey him.My eyebrow arched at his statement. "Hey, I’m just your personal assistant, not your property, get it? Ha?!" I snapped back at him."Hey, stop it, you two. This might turn into another fight," Stephen
"Bro, I caught your game last night. You guys almost lost!" Marcus suddenly mentioned in the middle of the group's conversation. We were back at the same private club we went to last time, the one that turned out to be owned by Jeno. Once again, we were inside the private room, sitting on a curved couch with a glass table in the center filled with various drinks and bar snacks.I was sitting in the corner, and as usual, Yuan was right beside me. He didn't have his arm around me, but his shoulder was pressed against mine while he sat with his arms crossed.Out of the corner of my eye, I saw his brow furrow slightly at Marcus's comment about his performance last night."What happened, man? You were on fire at the start of the game, but by the end of the third quarter, it was like you completely lost your focus," Alejandro added.I saw Yuan clench his jaw. "I don't really know either. Maybe because I saw something unpleasant..." he said in a heavy tone.I felt confused because he suddenl
"No way…" I said, utterly unable to believe him.The corner of his lips curved up, casting me a mischievous look. "Just kidding," he blurted out suddenly.I gritted my teeth and glared at him before kicking his foot with my shoe. It left a smudge on his pants, but he did nothing except laugh at me."Hey, why do you look like you’re disappointed?" he asked with a mischievous, teasing look.I scowled at him, pulled the lollipop out of my mouth, and yelled, "In your dreams!"He shook his head, the smile still lingering on his lips. He then pulled a handkerchief from his pocket andbegan dusting off the pants where my shoe had left a dirt mark from the kick."If you wanted me to apologize for what I’ve done to your pants, you won’t get it, because you deserved it anyway," I told him, my voice dripping with annoyance to make my frustration clear. He just offered me a smile while looking down. "Don’t you worry, I came prepared," he said, raising his handkerchief.I merely rolled my eyes, red
7:00 P.M. I was sitting in one of the courtside seats lined up inside the arena. I sat right at the front, my eyes fixed on the court. Yuan was currently playing and it was the third day of the PBA games, and his team had already made it to the semifinals. It was already the third quarter, with the score sitting at 84 to 65. Yuan’s team was leading by a wide margin, probably because he was in peak physical condition today. How could he not be, after finishing several times earlier? The bastard didn't even give my hands a rest. Fucking dickhead, he was really so annoying! I originally had no intention of watching today's game, but he forced me to come, claiming he needed me here. In reality, he just turned me into his personal caddie, though it was actually my job. He made me carry his tumbler, towel, shoes, clothes, and whatever else was stuffed inside his duffel bag. When a timeout was called, I saw Yuan jogging over in my direction instead of heading straight to his team bench.
